I am certain that there are many who will criticise, what they will describe as a shameless exposure - and indeed many who will exaggerate this to the point of referring only to the exposure of the girl, in their condemnation of my actions - no doubt in an effort to skew the bias and collect the undeserved votes and support of sympathy.

So let us set the scene & examine what alternatives appeared to be available, at that critical time - during the white heat of confusion and ambiguity - a fire that was lit by a telephone call - from the Philippines.

A time when my passion, my devotion to the relationship and our plans for its future was strongest.
I was about to make my second trip to visit her and establish a more concrete platform of arrangements - convinced, as I was after the first visit only just over a month before, that destiny was being so sweet.

It was that telephone call - which imparted the news of "the ectopic pregnancy" - that brought an intense awareness of my predicament.

I had, naively and unwittingly on my first visit, left myself exposed to a potential scam attempt.
This was starkly obvious and could not be ignored.

Concern over this was supported, in retrospect, by certain events during my first visit and by the requests for money prior to the phonecall.

It was immediately obvious that if my suspicions were correct, there were certainly more people involved in this than merely the girl.

In the initial shock and confusion of the time immediately surrounding the “news” from Mayen – and through my assessment of the risks involved to each of us – I made a decision.
A decision which had very little time to be made.

Despite many calls to Embassies and Foreign Offices, and despite their fully sympathetic views of those risks – the ultimate decision was down to myself.

The reason that logic was used in this decision should be perfectly obvious to anyone who understands how emotions are key to the success of any scam.

So – even though love and desire are still present and strong – they must be ignored.

The decision was made in accordance with the following logic.

If this is all about love, and Mayen is telling the truth – then it will all resolve quickly – I shall apologise for my suspicions, pay the hospital bill and fly out there ASAP.
Mayen is in the best place possible for her care – a hospital – my moral support is the least of her worries.
All of my cautious behaviour will hopefully be thoroughly understood and we shall proceed with our plans.
The risk is all mine – and is the risk of trashing the relationship.

If this is not about love – & Mayen is fabricating the story – my moral support is the least of her worries.
There is a strong risk of becoming embroiled in something undesirable, possible coercion.
There is the risk of wasting more time and money under false pretenses.

That was the dilemma – the double-edged sword of what that love represented.
It was either the honey in a trap – or the delicious nectar of genuine love.
I was to judge it wrong at my own peril – either way.

All the risks were mine.

Considering that – it was entirely my right to make that decision.

Considering also that the responsibility for the alleged pregnancy was a shared one – and considering that the burden of proof to demonstrate the truth of that pregnancy and any complications arising from it – resided 6,000 miles away – along with the original suggestion of that pregnancy – it was entirely my right to base my decision on an evaluation of proof.

It was also entirely my right to expect and require that proof.

Before my second flight - absolutely nothing which bore any resemblance to official proof had arrived in the UK.

At this point - only a fool would have proceeded with the trip - concurring with all advice I was being given at that time.

After all, the "emergency" was already over - it should have been quite apparent to all concerned - that the stance I had adopted was well within the grounds of reason and common sense.
In order for that to have happened amongst all concerned however - it was necessary to have had a rounded appreciation of the fact that scams do happen - especially involving hospital fees - and particularly from the Philippines.
From the people I was dealing with (& many more - who have since decided to pretend and defend the innocence of these people) - I have never seen anything approaching a rounded understanding - only denial and defensiveness.

The response as received led me to be even more convinced that my suspicions were true.
I was now faced with a situation in which I could no longer expect to find honest answers from anyone directly implicated in what was appearing more and more like an attempted and organised scam.
The resources available to this group of people, and the determination to demonstrate their innocence, quite possibly meant that any investigation "on the ground" would not get anywhere near to the actual truth - and would be faced with a paper trail of manufactured evidence - and possibly face attempts of bribery to ensure compliance.
After all - when the complainant is 6,000 miles away - and everything is being relayed by information - how can information itself ever be regarded as absolute proof.
Much would depend on its perception - and upon the acceptance of certain trusts - which in this particular set of circumstances - were very hard to evaluate.
No response arrived from any of my pleas for help sent to official bodies in the Philippines - so I was left to deal with things entirely on my own.

Everything was being propelled along by that original confusion - the original horror of the situation - the torturous ambivalence and complete uncertainty - all wrapped in a deep attachment and love for the girl concerned.
My strongest need was to arrive at the truth - the unequivocal truth.
Something that would certainly not happen if I abandoned it all - shrugged my shoulders and wrote it all off as simply a bad mistake.
No - my conscience, my concern & love would not allow for that.
The only way - which was to become even more emotionally torturous - was to keep lines of communication open - to let it play itself out - and to constantly check that the goal of truth was not being hijacked by an imposter - such as bias or wishful thinking.
There were human beings involved in this - at both ends - only the truth had suitable worthiness as a goal.

That is what followed.
Myself - alone - facing the determined resolve and resources of the real estate company to prove its innocence by any means possible.
They were aware that the whole detailed story lay waiting - for potential public release - on my blog at MySpace.
This was the big threat - which was my only form of leverage to ensure continued communication.
I had not quite understood how ruthless and determined the people I was dealing with would turn out to be.

It was this ruthlessness and complete disregard for myself, or indeed a respectable concern for the truth, contrasted and intertwined with the emotionally manipulative power of the "relationship" - that gave me the resolve to eventually make the blog public - after I had examined the video of the scar revelation.
So much had already happened in the seven weeks leading up to this point - I was determined to expose what was most certainly an organised attempt at extortion - and in impenetrable barricade of denial and defensiveness from all quarters. The combined effect of which was to leave me quite disbelieving and shocked - but probably more due to my naivety than anything else - I had little realised that I would remain alone during such a protracted escalation.

Quite often I refer to this as an adventure - casually - and it still is.

Now it is simply a battle of medium versus message - those with the network, the contacts, the pliable support - the platform to virally hasten the spread of their propaganda - think to themselves, behind their mask of feeble excuses, lies and self-defenses - in the camaraderie of their campaign - in the disgusting contempt of their deceit - in the complete apathy and abandon to their own corrupt ethics - in their sullen and stubborn denial of their own consciences - blatantly in abuse of any tenets of human decency - they think that they have the upper hand.
The hand of cheating and subterfuge - of distortion, gross exaggeration and false accusation - of the underhand, the immoral - everything that is low - unchecked defamation - pure vitriolic ad hominem based entirely on presumption and pretence - this is the hand that they are playing from - these are the cards they hold and use without restraint - for they have no decency to restrain themselves with.
With these cards now on the table - we are supposed to believe that their truth is worth having?

They, who have stained themselves to the soul.
We know who they are - the main players - those who have raised the rallying flag of incitement and hatred - hiding away in their little hive - a swarm - a plague on the Internet.
See them all - a devil's coven at play - here in their pathetic hideaway.
Anyone who has contributed in the smallest way there - has been corrupted beyond salvation.

Let them dare to come anywhere near a law that is worthy of its name - of a legal system that is truly honourable - instead of hiding behind the letter of the law - and usurping its majesty and authority with threat - let them face the true might of its justice.

By now you will all be familiar with the sort of treatment one can expect over at The World Of Filipinas - trying to broach a subject like this there.

Now - remember I was lured there originally - by one singular post, that had sat at the top of the thread, for a week, unanswered but for one comment - until I arrived there hot-foot from the debacle at Filipina Images - with the ambitious hope, again, of finding impartiality and honest folk.
It must be said, that the only people vocal enough, bothered enough, to enter into the discussion - are going to be those - already with a vested interest of opposition - so automatically the appearance is skewed - but that doesn't account for the vast majority there being on such a transparently determined and vicious mission.

Naively - I stuck my head into the lion's rancid, infected mouth - soon to be hounded from hell to high-water - by the likes of Southern Don (Don Pinger) and his band of nepotistic crones - some of them featuring here.
The Fil/Am brotherhood - mostly, I suspect, comprising ex-forces personnel (Turbo? Booster?) - still addicted to the habits developed around places like Angeles City - their consciences moved, their allegiences decided more by guilt or family ties than by a respect for truth.

A couple of posts in the original thread (the well subscribed "Check This Out" - from way back - over 30,000 reads!) came from a member calling himself JohnC . . .

It's been a battle fought by just myself - against countless others all told, appearing in forums just like this, leaving their thoughts, their comments.

As if the Internet is somehow different from real life - people feel emboldened to say, perhaps - very directly, what they feel - I know, because I am the same.

Being banned still at WOF (not that my stay there was at all pleasant) and wanting to point out their hypocrisy in allowing comments that suit themselves, but which are in blatant contravention of their own forum rules - by flaming (basically the whole thread) - threats, & allowing Jepoy to post personal information, such as my real name - in comments such as these left recently. . .

. . . I decided to write a message to JohnC from the link he left to his YouTube account (jchaplin99) - where he is showing a video about LDRs (Long Distance Relationships) - and how much money they soak up.

Now - people like John Phillips Bengero (Jepoy) like to refer to this as Stalking or Harassment - well it's all in the perception.
The Internet is, after all, a free place - if people leave links it's surely for a reason - to be followed.
If I am banned at some place, it's usually because people don't like the truth and prefer to hide - so it's up to me to insist on my right to reply - any way I can.
So - "harassment" - it would seem is a direct result of banning and blocking and ignoring.

My psychological evaluation of you is that you are too ashamed to face up to the fact that you were wrong, and premature in your judgement - and by the look of things now, perhaps too feeble to apologise - even privately. All those in such determined denial of my story have unfortunately got it all wrong.

So used are they to feeling the perplexing mixture of guilt, shame and contempt - accompanying their full knowledge of the way that some women in their country are commodified - and commodify themselves - that one isolated case of genuine love gets caught in the same unforgiving net.

It has not been revenge or hatred that has propelled me through these last two years - that would have run out of steam long ago.

They have got it all so wrong.

Far from being content with mere suspicion - I needed something far stronger.
Far stronger than that which presumption or generalisation would allow - I needed virtually conclusive proof to satisfy my emotional needs - to quell the possibility that I had hurt someone I dearly loved.
For that is what I am being constantly told - constantly whipped with - by all those whose vested interest and contempt will not allow them to leave it alone either.

This was, at the beginning a story, a quest for love.
It has been purely that love, which has remained throughout - a genuine love that has grown for a unique country and its people - and one specific girl, who brought me all those miles to her side.

Now - the final curtain has fallen - but there are still those in the audience - unsatisfied - that their own, loud heckling was returned from the stage.

So rent-a-crowd beside, we can pack up and move on.

Whether or not the story remains in the public eye - is very much down to the way those hecklers behave - as they leave the theatre.

I could very easily change the names of the characters - change the title.
Just as easily - I could leave it untouched.

Due to the hideous amount of devious propaganda being released, insisting - relentlessly and consistently that this story is no more than a hoax - by people with a commercial and corrupt vested interest in concealing the truth - I have decided to release a short version of the video - that was recorded 29th September 2007 at 7:10am.

The video, which I recorded secretly at that time, is of a girl, who in collaboration with a real estate company (she worked for them & her boss had corroborated her story, stating that he had paid the deposit for the operation) - attempted to extort money from me for an emergency operation for a ruptured ectopic pregnancy.

Throughout all my dealings with this event - I was made to feel more and more suspicious, by the procrastination, inconsistencies and excuses that were being made for why I could not deal directly with the hospital - in Paranaque, Philippines.

I have a list of all names involved - either directly or indirectly with this attempted scam.
I have never even remotely suggested that all the people named - would receive a pay-off - simply that their names are involved or that they had some small part to play - they knew what was going on and remained silent. Some were simply extras, part of the lure of the "reality" that was setting the scene during my visit.
This is exactly the manner in which organised crime functions - people are expected to play their parts, behind an innocent facade - a cover.
All under the umbrella of a master organisation - trickle feeding the coffers in their own way when the time comes.

The names of the doctors were given to me after I started insisting on proof - they may not be aware that their names are being used in this connection.

There was the name of a lawyer printed at the end of an emailed word file - allegedly from himself, on behalf of the hospital - after I had written to them complaining of the disgusting way that the hospital had not bothered to communicate with me - yet were increasing the bill daily, by keeping the patient hostage until it had been paid.
However - it would appear that the hospital were complicit to the attempted scam from the very first day - so their involvement cannot be excused by co-ertion, simply helping to provide legitimate looking material as proof of innocence, after I started making serious enquiries.

The actress named is promoting and endorsing the real estate company in their advertising.
She was informed, along with her agent - that the firm she was endorsing were involved in these events.
However - like many other people - she chose to remain silent.

The other names are those of the bloggers - most of them connected with each other in real life or online - who partook in an SEO campaign of propaganda and spiteful lies - orchestrated on behalf of the real estate company - by "Celebrity Bloggers" - suggesting that my story was no more than a hoax.

Please remember - this is not about the girl at all - she was just a player - this is about an organised attempt to extort money - the real estate company marketing manager & the hospital were involved from day 1 - before it started to get complicated for them - and the organised attempt to manufacture evidence to pretend innocence which has been following ever since - and this includes the collection of bloggers online.
I have been trying to communicate about all this - I wanted to show the evidence - and make the peace - but there has been complete silence, & an urging people not to listen or communicate with me - and they have been blocking my access as far as they could - banning me from commenting on any of their sites, sites of family, sites of subscribers and associates
So - as it has been for a long, long time now - this is my only outlet of communication - this blog.

Behaviour Analysis - Tim Cumper

A & B are the two opposing streams of ambiguity.
The events as portrayed in the information I received, versus the reasons for suspicion.
The totally unsubstantiated information & events reported in my story have no bias - towards A or B - that weight is only added by predisposition - both streams naturally having a cancelling effect on each other.
An unbiased opinion, based entirely on reading my story would therefore be one of neutrality - one which would quite readily recognise that perfect ambiguity.

This was the position that strangely, I found myself to be in.
Streams A & B represented the opposite forces of emotion and caution.
Caution would instruct the ego to step aside from emotional bias - from wishful thinking - from giving the benefit of the doubt.
Emotion would instruct the ego that no matter what caution said, it desired the supreme satisfaction of allowing the dream lover, the dream scenario - to be real.
A struggle - played out entirely on the internal stage of my being - but the result was neutrality - I could see the potential for each stream being the reality, under its own set of circumstances.

It must be stated that out of the many thousands of people who have come in contact with this story since it was posted publicly online - only a tiny fraction have been responsible for generating the hostile propaganda - demonstratively proclaiming it is a hoax.
Through the exploration of social networking - it is possible to trace how these people are virtually or really connected with each other - either by family, business or social environments.

The other common denominator is that they all speak the same language, literally and metaphorically - for they all use exactly the same method of argument.
Upon analysis, it can be seen that this method is one which seeks to disturb the neutrality of my position - by reinforcing the emotional longing and entirely negating the voice of caution.
This is achieved by adding weight to one stream and denying it to the other - hovering in the soft glow of romantic terminology, the vaguely poetic - constantly reminding of the relationship that was lost, of the beautiful, sexy young Filipina, who had such a genuine love for me, and by an insistence that the pregnancy must have been real.
It is achieved by burying details in the dense clouds of cultural differences, by ignoring them completely or by not addressing any of my suspicions directly and in an unbiased way.
It is achieved by courtesy of the anonymity of the Internet, fired by contempt and incitement - fuelled by gross hypocrisy and double standards - and a conspiracy of silence - denying me the right to reply, refusing to answer emails, invitations to discussion groups, strategically blocking or banning my IP address from commenting or accessing websites.

It is starkly obvious to see how far away from neutrality these people are.

Double standards are revealed - for example, if we consider the phrase "seeing is believing."

They would have me believe that every word of every SMS message, email or webchat - every email containing figures, every jpg of a hospital bill, every letter from a lawyer or embassy - were the gospel truth - when in fact every single one of those items - produced as "proof positive" - only arrived at all due to my continual insistence.

Remember also, that these people are only readers of my story - they claim not to have any other links or inside information - and they certainly have not accrued the slightest piece of information for themselves to back up anything they say.

Seeing is believing for them - not ever remotely entertaining even a possibility that any one or all these things could be falsified, forged or faked - so - seeing is believing, for them - until it comes to the subject of the webcam transmission of Mayen showing me "her scar from the operation."

Considering the pressure that was mounting - the urgency for the real estate business to get my blog removed - certainly all the above things are highly possible.
Someone - remember - hacked and deleted my blog - one hour after I had written up about the "scar revelation" and finally made the blog public.

Believing, though, is much more accountable to perception than eyesight - and perception is conditioned by predisposition - by pre-conception in fact - and by bias & wishful thinking.

Proof of authenticity can never be established by an object in isolation - not a physical object, even less so - a virtual object - transmitted over the Internet.

Its trusted provenance needs to be known.
Its authenticity, its veracity can only be established & verified in its real context - which comes from an intimate familiarity with the actual flow of events - at a first hand level of experience - not by hear-say, rumour, generalisation or presumption - it is not proved by precedents or by their absence - but by the specific details leading to this object's arrival - none of which are available to any of the players now on the field.

Impossible to do over the Internet - but, all things therefore being equal - the Internet is not only the playing field now, but the milieu in which this whole saga unfolded.

Perhaps this is what was hinted at by "The Legal Counsel" when he wrote "This writer is a lawyer and, by the culture in his milieu, encourages those who have been wronged to air their grievances before appropriate fora . . ."
It has its own justice - perhaps - and is a struggle of medium versus message.

So - as far as all the readers of my story - and myself - are concerned, we are therefore on precisely even footing - apart from our predispositions, apart from our presumptions and our biases.

Biases energise, they realise action - and become the motivation.

The reason for my obsessive attention to detail, throughout this story - my meticulous thoroughness over dates and times etc. - is because I do not wish to cheat myself out of the truth.

I have a deep and emotional need to know that truth - that has been and always will be my motivation.
It is a need that cannot allow itself to be motivated by preconception - it is neutral - weighing every possibility equally.

What is the motivation for all those actively engaged in staining my story as a hoax?
Remember it is only a tiny minority - but it is an energetic and a determined minority.
What is their motivation?

We can safely ignore any of the "physical evidence" - the seeing is believing - because one stream of possibility suggests it is highly plausible that what we are seeing could have been artificially generated.

If there were no dilemma, no ambiguity about the truth, everything would have been entirely different.
There was, however that obvious and golden opportunity for a scam - that I had set myself up for - hence the dilemma.
It is so obvious - that it demands being considered in balance with the alternative, opposite scenario - the other stream.
How can something so obvious be so consistently and stubbornly denied?

What we cannot ignore though, are the behavioural responses - the inconsistencies, the timings - in relationship to the shifting pressures.
All these happen in a far more subliminal and unconscious way - they are perhaps harder to disguise.
The silences - the method of approach - the complete vacuum of any further details to appear in support of innocence.
The inability to use anything other than ad hominem attacks on my personality - in order to achieve their attempted aim in obliterating my story - that coupled with the exaggeration, the hyperbole utilised in trying to sustain my own inner emotional imbalance.

For a perfect example of this - just look at the video interview that Noemi Dado conducted with Mayen - soak up the overall style, see just where the accent is - and know exactly what it was they were trying to achieve.

What we cannot ignore either - is the damning evidence provided by the video revelation of the scar - secretly recorded by me at the time of transmission.

So - is it true - that seeing is believing - or not?

Ok - a big ask at this point - I know - but because of the sensitivity of the video - and the intimate nature of it - & the fact that it would readily be seized, only as an opportunity to generate more propaganda - that video will probably never see the light of day as far as public consumption is concerned.
It is required however, that a firm understanding of my neutrality is grasped - to see that I do not want or need to cheat myself out of the truth.
I have little or no fear of reprisals from bloggers, thousands of miles away - in the semi-anonymous, half deserted space of the Internet - they have done all they can do - it can only be more of the same.

What I do fear - is never knowing the truth.

I know that truth now - two years after it all began - two years of hunting, sifting, deep thinking and soul searching - a determination to not give up - to not be thwarted by anger or a false pride.
All along, that one single prayer and hope - that one single aim - of finding the truth - was before me.

What happens now - is determined by how those "hoax theorists" behave.
Do they seriously think that I am making this all up?
Do they feel obliged to keep their propaganda attempts ongoing?
What is their motivation - it is not truth - they have demonstrated they do not concern themselves with truth.
Is it commercial interest?
Is it sheer contempt?

No - I am not making anything up - the evidence revealed by the video is damning - & is consistent with all my suspicions and vindicates all the effort put into arriving at this goal - of knowing the truth.

I do not need to explain all the details again - but there is no possible explanation to them being on the video - other than it being conclusive evidence of an attempted scam. Finally - we can see which stream is real.

First we have the delay and suspicious circumstances regarding the transmission time.

Second - we have marks across the scar which match exactly the corrugations of the waistband of her knickers - we can see the line being smudged by her thumb.

Third - if the avowed intent was to prove once and for all that Mayen had a genuine scar on her stomach - why was no thought given to standing still - and allowing a perfectly clear, close up picture to convince me? It was pure serendipity that gave us the clear close ups at those critical moments.

Fourth - how can anyone explain the appearance of the remains of a previous attempt at a scar, drawn on to Mayen's stomach - which was obviously hastily, but not thoroughly wiped off, before the second attempt was drawn on, in a different position?

It is those revelations which add weight - beyond any ambiguity - they can polarise with only one stream - they are the only thing which speak for themselves without requiring any predisposition or bias - they are self-evident.

A small, fragile detail, lasting only a split-second - but a detail of enormous significance.

A significance which gains its potency, not from the detail itself, but by the sheer coincidence of it appearing ambiguously genuine - in the wake of all the other anomalous happenings.

A video, in itself, can neither prove something to be genuine nor ingenuine - it is merely a token.

Its significance is derived from the merest hint, that its true provenance may be different.

Brains on! - Consider the implications.

* Why show a fake scar? - Because there was no real scar.

* Therefore there was NO OPERATION, NO ECTOPIC PREGNANCY.

* The whole thing was A LIE - an extortionate lie.

* Therefore when Mr Francis M Jalbuena, of Tierra Maria Estates - communicated with me - telling me that he had paid a deposit - he was CORROBORATING this lie.

* The hospital, who fielded my telephone calls on DAY 1 - were also a part of this EXTORTIONATE LIE.

* Mayen's co-workers, who acted as go-betweens while Mayen was supposed to be in hospital - also CORROBORATED THIS LIE.

* The doctors, whose names I have been given - are either accomplices - or perhaps their names have been used without their knowledge.
Which is it?
If they remain forever silent - what can we presume?

* Whoever wrote the letter, allegedly from the lawyer Efren C Carag - corroborated this extortionate lie on behalf of the hospital.
Does this lawyer know that his name was being used?

* Someone managed to embroil the British Embassy in Manila, getting them to corroborate the EXTORTIONATE LIE.

* Someone came up with this whole scheme - involving Noemi Dado and her orchestrated SEO campaign - pronouncing my story as a hoax.

* Is this the work of a single girl, who tried to scam me out of some money?

Of course it isn't.

I've been thinking a great deal about the whole dynamic of "proof" & "evidence" - especially in relation to the Internet - my conclusion is that there really is no such possibility.

Isolated items, offered or revealed as such, are meaningless on their own - detached from the provenance, the circumstances, the history surrounding their presentation.

All we can possibly see or receive are "tokens" - which are supposed to be representational, significant of an accompanying genuine provenance or circumstance - but in themselves, they are no more than tokens.

Entirely unprovable - entirely useless - without an intimate knowledge of the true provenance.

Whereas that true provenance is whole and complete, the tokens offered are miniscule. They rely totally on a presumption that the circumstances surrounding their origin are legitimate.

However, the authenticity of these tokens is not intrinsic to themselves, but only on the provenance or circumstance that they imply a representation of.

For example - a genuine hospital bill, produced using a hospital accounting system - is a legitimate bill only if the events it pertains to were themselves genuine.

In itself - it as genuine in appearance as any other bill produced on that system.

A photograph - is a genuine photograph, but might be depending on the association of photography with "seeing is believing", to force the presumption that it also represents a genuine, and not a staged, event.

Tokens like these can usurp the authority of the genuine - to assist the fake.

All these tokens do - is try to reach our understanding - they try to coax the understanding and common sense into creating an imagined provenance - in the reverse of the normal chain of events, where the provenance creates the token.

The presumption is that the token will trigger an imagination of a provenance, and become convincing that therefore the provenance must be genuine.

However - our understanding and common sense is not necessarily ever switched off - it is aware all the time.

Our understanding and common sense is not so easily fooled by patterns of behaviour.

Patterns of behaviour - the appropriateness of response - is not so easily disguised - because behaviour is always real, it is always genuine behaviour - even when it attempts to mimic appropriate behaviour - there is something about it which is not quite convincing.

Behaviour, therefore, is more likely to reveal provenance than tokens - which are notoriously ambiguous in authenticity.

Seen in this light, it is apparent that words themselves are mere tokens - tokens for events and also tokens for behaviour - excuses, reasons - yet will often reveal, even subliminally, beneath the words themselves - the current of real behaviour in which the thoughts originated.

Therefore - could it probably be safer, more secure - to ignore the absolutely ambiguous - the tokens themselves - and base detection on our understanding of behaviour?

Tierra Maria Estates Scam - Flag Day - Tim Cumper

It is important to remember as this list is read through, that all the events since my return to the UK - and I am dignifying them already, by calling them events - were transmitted to me via information only - the printed or spoken word.
Words, which immediately conjure up images in the mind - that is their tremendous, but exclusive power.
Words themselves have no dimensions - they are as thin as the paper that they are written upon, as ephemeral as the pixels on a screen, or the passing vibrations of the human voice.
Their only depth lies in the images that they portray.

Using only words to paint pictures in another person's mind - whether or not those words speak of the truth - the image conjured up in the receptive mind is identical in every way.
Information smuggles images into the harbour of the mind, often completely uninvited - carried below decks, in the cargo-holds of words.
Words like - love - pregnancy - hospital.
Images within the mind quite readily become elevated to truth - for once we have seen something in the mind's eye - no matter how that picture was placed there - it can seem very real - quite simply, we lend it reality - by colouring it in, by giving it dimensions - we bring it to life.
How can we deny something that we have seen now, within our own imagination?

Don't think of an elephant.

Such is the power of information.

Remember - all that I have ever received - existed only in the guise of information.
Words - images - delivered, uninvited - into my mind.

Remember that we were two people "in love" - we had already agreed that we would get married when the time was right - so add that emotional intensity to the burning imagery of the words.

You can see just how all the ingredients for a scam work together - and make it so easy to succeed.
And it hits you slap in the face - out of nowhere - you have never experienced anything like it before - you are a non-swimmer - thrown into cold, unfathomable, alien waters - in a threshing, flailing panic.
You learn very quickly - how to swim.

There is a desperation to know the truth, to breathe freely again, to reach solid ground - an urgency that results in all information being minutely examined for any possible clues.

Essentially I was faced with two simultaneous alternatives - to believe it all on face value, no questions asked, to ignore the voice of common sense and caution - and act with a blind obedience to emotional instincts that were by now running so deep.
Or - to realise also that here was a golden opportunity, the perfect scenario for a "honey pot" type scam.
The deviously tangled conundrum was however - that both alternative situations related entirely to the same love - for the same girl - a love that could not simply evaporate overnight.
The decision I would make, the conclusions I would arrive at - depended entirely on the information that I received - and how I navigated a way through the channels of ambiguity - the torturous rapids that raced through the canyon between the heart and the mind.

Yes - I had set myself up for it - in every way.
Already, ambivalence had entered the equation - the simple realisation of that perfect, golden opportunity for a scam was compelling enough to introduce caution - the water was now cloudy.
The solution now contained a tiny seed crystal of doubt - a seed that was not caused by paranoia, or any other form of mental illness - it was there because the realisation, the awareness of the possibility for a scam, was unavoidably obvious.
A small seed crystal that, unfortunately, immediately inherits a robustness - because the location of these events was the Philippines - from where (in common with some other Asian countries) a reputation for scams has grown - scams surrounding payment of hospital fees being well reported.
I am aware that scams occur universally - but reputations are not born out of fresh air.
But neither is this comment racist - it is simply stating the facts specific to this one, particular case.

Nothing will destroy this crystal seed of doubt - nothing except absolute assurance - knowledge, certainty (as opposed to information) - that the reality of the situation is actually coincident with the information that I am sent.
Any form of aberration, anything which weakens that positive assurance - will cause that crystal to grow.
At the start it was tiny - just a breath of a worry - an occasional flickering in the mind.

Let me now show you everything that has added weight to that crystal of doubt and suspicion.

All the entries up until the 1st phone call from Mayen "in hospital" are retrospective - I had not thought anything of these points at the time when they occurred. Why? Because I was intent on making the relationship work.
I could not entertain doubts - & I was blissfully happy.
But this was the watershed moment - when I seriously started to question my blind trust.

1) We meet on a dating site Date In Asia, which I have since discovered is a hot bed for scammers, being a free site. I did not appreciate this at the time - but I did sense that there was a risk - the Internet being what it is.

2) There was no picture on my profile when Mayen contacted me - within an hour of completing my profile.

3) The age range of Mayen's interest was vast.

4) Mayen's profile photograph had been edited (she told me this herself) and was considerably different from how she really looked.

5) All communication up until soon before my 1st trip was done on the DIA chat window or email - only just before my trip did we start using Yahoo Messenger - despite me having sent Mayen an invitation to add me to her contacts there during our very first night chatting. We never used a webcam.
I could quite possibly have been talking to anybody some of the time.
The photograph and my hopes, my imagination made the illusion seem real.

6) Mayen is the first to suggest that I visit her, relatively early on - and the dates suggested for a visit are quite soon.

7) Mayen was hardly forthcoming about herself - in spite of my constant requests - in stark comparison to the lengthy emails I was to receive after the "hospital" incident.

8) The trip itself turned out to be a paid junket for Mayen - to visit her family, stay in a hotel, travel by taxi, buy and be bought gifts. Depsite the fact that she was a working girl - she did not buy as much as a cup of coffee.
The episode of the sandals (which has brought so much comment) is a pertinent highlight - not because of the amount of money involved - but because it seemed to be a "testing of the water." Here was Mayen with the money I had given her, because she knew her way around, it was safer if she paid for taxis etc. Not that I minded in the slightest, but it did seem unusual for her to walk into a shoe shop, without really asking, and purchase herself a pair of new shoes.
I was more than happy to oblige - thought nothing of it at all - but it could have been a test, to see how I would react . . .

9) . . . when she told me that her sister had called her up and informed her that she (Mayen) was expected to pay for the family's festivities at the approaching Barrio Fiesta - resulting in my handing her more money, which she said would go to her father. I observed a change of attitude in Mayen - from happy-go-lucky - to detached and very business like - as if she was preparing herself for how I might react. This revealed to me subliminally that she knew exactly what she was up to. Trying it on - and succeeding, because I made no fuss - I would have felt mean to do so - clever isn't it.

10) Top of the menu meals - taxis everywhere - presents for all the family - new cellphone for Mayen - all as a matter of course.

11) Mayen suggests that we sleep together.

12) Mayen's family encourage us to sleep together.

13) Mayen discourages me from using contraception.

14) Mayen's concern over spilling her "feminine hygeine" lotion - research suggests that there is a possibilty that this type of lotion could have been to alleviate herpes symptoms.

15) Mayen's questioning - "Why" did I not have any children.

16) Mayen asking me (much earlier on during our chats) if she should send "Sexy photographs" & her little topless shimmy in the hotel room saying "You like?" - indicate that Mayen saw herself as a sex object, through my eyes - in other words - branding me the same as a sex tourist - accompanied secretly, no doubt, by the contempt that a sex tourist deserves.
In fact I recall one chat we had after the hospital incident, when I felt she was close to giving me an explanation - she admitted that she hadn't really believed that I would be coming back to her - she had presumed that I was just treating it like a holiday. Where had that come from? Mythology - or her own personal experience?
The fact that I was still married (or not yet divorced) perhaps led her to think along those lines - but I had never hidden it from her - it appeared that we understood each other implicitly on that issue - I even gave her my wedding ring when I was leaving - but perhaps it simply added to her contempt.
Well - I can state categorically - that I worshipped the ground she walked on, all the time before and during my visit - and for many months afterwards. Yes I was attracted to her - but she was so much more than a sex object - she was my dream girl - in every way.
But it seems that for some - generalisation is the rule - and a contempt deserved by a few, is shown to all.
Obviously, for the sake of a scam, a "client" who is married, perhaps being totally secretive - just out for a quick thrill - represents the ideal - as far more leverage can be brought to bear when it comes to blackmail.

17) The pantomime of catching me as a "big fish" during the picnic at the seashore. Openly demonstrating what was on her mind?

18) The first business suggestion - that I buy a plot of land for her father to administer as a coconut plantation.

19) Mayen very passive during sex - a rather business like quality. One occasion I recall her asking me "Have you finished?"
Her strange moments of hiding her face and crying - tearlessly. A completely unemotional (from her) farewell at the airport, the text message I received shortly after we parted company did not match her apparent mood.

20) 1st request for money on my return to the UK. These were not direct requests, merely indirect hints - but Mayen later admits in the interview with Noemi to having asked for money prior to the hospital episode itself - therefore demonstrating that this was her style. I sensed that Mayen knew exactly where it was going - it was so obvious that I was being squeezed - the first innocuous mention of money for the Internet (she'd managed perfectly well before my trip - what had changed?) - changing into needing the money for a health check (suspected Dengue fever was the excuse - but I think Mayen knew that this was the thin end of "the hospital" scenario. However - at this point, it might even have been a full term pregnancy, with some money making complications, no doubt, that was on the cards - because I had not announced my second trip yet.)

21) The brevity of Mayen's email announcing her suspected pregnancy - very business like - just saying what needed to be said - with of course the perfunctory "I love you, mWaaaah!"

22) Mayen's "possible pregnancy" was self-diagnosed by Mayen herself, extending many of the same symptoms referred to when Dengue Fever was used as the reason for a health check. The possible pregnancy was allegedly corroborated by Dra. Leonardo - conveniently the same woman who would feature at "the hospital." But I wasn't informed of this detail at the time - only after Mayen had "left the hospital."

23) Mayen denies having Herpes (which I now have - courtesy of her.)

24) When I announce my second trip - flight to arrive 15th August - the pregnancy disappears - false alarm.
I could have had her independently tested for verification when I arrived.
But here's that golden opportunity for a nice fat sum of money - how do they cash in on it.

Any future unprotected sexual liaisons between us is now highly unlikely, so the original pregnancy represents the single opportunity for this type of scam.

The details regarding my lack of credit card, the necessity to rely on cash, the window of opportunity for an ectopic pregnancy, my forthcoming 2nd trip - all seem to conspire together - and point, very precisely, at an ideal date - around which this event occurred.

25) I write to Mayen that I have thoroughly read the Philippine Family Code. Perhaps she's having 2nd thoughts about things.
Was marriage really a part of her plan? Or just the supreme tease - knowing how much I desired to be married to her.

26) 2nd request for money - Mayen weaves a most elaborate tale about Sir Francis insisting that all 3 girls should share the same small, hot room.
Sir Francis later denies all knowledge of this.

I send some money so that Mayen can find her own accomodation.
Mayen complains that the money I send for this was not quite enough.
Mayen further elaborates on the new accomodation, how seedy it is, near the squatters, how her work colleagues were disappointed in her choice.
On suggesting that she could get a rebate and look elsewhere - she tells me "It's not that kind of arrangement - no paperwork - the landlady is not quite legal . . ."

27) All chats with Mayen are getting longer & more and more intensely loving.

28) Conflicting reasons for visiting her sister.

29) Mayen pulls her profile from DIA the day before the "hospital call" - perhaps to ensure that I use Yahoo Messenger.

30) I receive a phone call at 6.30 am UK time (2.30pm PH time) - immediately after logging in to Yahoo Messenger - something that can be observed by anyone on my list - providing I wasn't invisible - I wasn't.
Considering that Mayen had been "in pain" since 4.00am (8.00pm the previous evening UK time) and was "taken to the hospital by Ate Glo before lunchtime" (the "operation" was 3.45pm PH time) - firstly, the time scale for this "emergency operation" seems very long & secondly, it seems a remarkable coincidence that I should receive the telephone call at precisely that moment.

31) The timing of this "hospital incident" just before my 2nd flight - just enough time to pull Mayen "out of the hospital" before I arrive - SMS from Sir Francis "Hi tim, wil b n hosptal abt 3pm to c f we can take out mayen. I hope we can talk latr wen evrythng s settld."
- leaving me with a debt to pay Sir Francis who may have settled the account (this is all hinted at in the emails & SMS messages received.) She will no doubt be tightly bandaged - who knows - even disappeared somewhere "to recover." People have been known to mysteriously "die" - to avoid discovery.

32) The first call to me was made using "Ate Glo's" cellphone. Very brief chat with Mayen & I was told to call that number back - which I try. The reception is breaking up dreadfully, but I hear Mayen say "It's not working . . ." - I call again this time Mayen's cellphone number. Reception is fine - she tells me about "suspected appendicitis" - a common mistaken diagnosis made during ruptured Ectopic Pregnancies - the call is disturbed at home. I send an SMS to Mayen saying that my wife has called the police and that they have just arrived. They had, but completely unconnected to anything directly involving Mayen, but Mayen was not told of the reason.
I phone again.
This time I call Mayen, she passes me to "Dra. Leonardo" - who very scientifically explains what an Ectopic Pregnancy is. (Trying to convince me with science, perhaps?) The Dra. does not seem at all concerned or hesitant about passing me this "confidential information."
Mayen tells me Sir Francis has paid some money - I am to phone him.
There is a distinct possibility that this is the only reason for Sir Francis's direct involvement - someone had to pay the deposit for the operation to go ahead - & it had to happen before I arrived, obviously.
I call Sir Francis in his own cellphone - he tells me Mayen has just given him her phone - he was just about to call me. She should be out of recovery soon, he tells me amongst other things we discuss.
Sir Francis sends me an SMS - with the time stamp 10th August 18:55 - which cannot possibly be correct, either UK or PH time.
The next time I telephone using the number of the hospital I had discovered online. Very quickly I am passed on to a " nurse station" and from there handed to "Chots" - Mayen's colleague - I can speak to Mayen on her cellphone - she's just handed it back to her.
Very brief chat to Mayen on her cellphone "No more babies . . . send some money . . ."
I am soon very aware that all communications are extremely conscious of the distinction between the unincriminating nature of phone calls - and the possiblity of SMS messages, emails, IM chats being documented.

Now - I would have been expected to try and verify the facts by telephoning the hospital.
The switchboard seemed to know exactly what to do - other than that, all phone calls to Mayen and Sir Francis & the Dra. were on cellphones.
OK - conveniently - the hospital may not have phones in the rooms - but that fact cannot prove that Mayen was there.
Could "Ate Glo" be Mayen's sister?
Could Dra. Leonardo have been Chots?
How do I know?
Chots might have been standing by, in the hospital - expecting me to make a call for verification as this was the first day.
How do I know where Sir Francis was when I spoke to him?

It's all so easily done. One person on a switchboard.

33) During subsequent Yahoo Messenger chats with Marivien, there is a distinct possibilty that Mayen could have been present - she seems to be answering my questions on cue.
What is the relevance of her asking me if I were at home or in an Internet cafe?

34) I am requested to send an amount via Western Union. Mayen had previously shown possible anxiety when she told me that she was friends with the money lender in BF homes - and then adding "i usually get your money their in western union that's why we are freinds - hehehe" after only the 2 occasions when I had sent money.
That is quite possible - but the anxiety is revealed by the fact that she considers it important to tell me this - and the nervous laugh - to lighten things up after a potential mistake had been made.

[That is the end of how the plan was supposed to have worked - now the complications start.]

35) Sir Francis sends an SMS - he now knows the precise amount of the bill - I have been insisting that I deal only and directly with the hospital & that I urgently needed to know the full amount due to assess the possibility of still making the trip. He offers various ways for me to settle up - including directly with the hospital if I was still flying, or via email with the hospital if I wasn't going to fly, or I could pay the full amount into his bank account. Demonstrating - above anything else that the focus is on getting the money - also perhaps he was preparing me for the "debt to Sir Francis" scenario.

36) I receive an avalanche of emotionally manipulative SMS messages from Mayen - I have not said that I am not flying - all I have insisted on is dealing with the Hospital directly. Where is the innocent, rational dialogue? Why does Mayen try so hard to twist my heart?
None of them tell me that the hospital will not deal with me because of "confidentiality issues."

37) Despite me insisting on no photocopies, no scanned images & dealing directly with the hospital (who had my email address from the 2 emails I had sent them) - I am sent an email containing the figures from the Tierra Maria Estates office. "I seem to have problem scanning the bills I got from Medical Center Paranaque but hereunder is the summary; . . ."
Mayen has told me that Marivien has a " Xerox" - the original being in accounts. "timy i ask d nurse the original copy is in d acounting. the xerox s with marivien, coz she wil email u.. is it not enough?i ask also d billing section 2 email it 2 u, but close already. maybe tomorrow iwil try"
The figure is roughly the same as quoted by Sir Francis in his SMS earlier - which should indicate that a bill has already been prepared - in fact this day is the date quoted on the JPG of the bill as Mayen's discharge date. But there seem to be some serious delays in sending the information to me. Why does Marivien have to return to Tierra Maria Estates office to send me the email?
Perhaps because now it's getting serious - the Hospital are not willing to directly & positively incriminate themselves by using their email system.

38) The email contains a warning that Mayen cannot leave until her bill is paid, also a pledge to get them to deal with me via email. No mention of "confidentiality issues" yet - "I'll do best to have the hospital email you directly the billings. Please note that if the P74,237.69 balance as of today is not settled, it will be hard to have Mayen released."
I discover later that this is still "normal" practice in private rooms - although nothing is mentioned about promissary notes - another common practice.

39) I telephone the hospital - and the bill is only verified by a nurse enquiring at the accounts office - with the same person presumably who would have just been dealing with Sir Francis & Marivien. Someone is still there - despite Mayen telling me that the billing department is now closed.

40) Marivien has asked for my flight details in a chat - although Mayen already has them from a previous email & Marivien is now using Mayen's account "Mayen ask when is your flight from UK? What is the exact time arrival her in philippines so that she get taxi for you & i be the one wait for you at the airport.please let me know."

41) The details of when Marivien started using Mayen's account are fuzzy - which might be connected to using the Yahoo Messenger to detect my movements before the first phone call.

[I collect the cash from the bank, change them into traveller's cheques - prepare to fly - but eventually common sense prevails as all of the above events come into focus.]

42) Another avalanche of attempted calls and SMS messages - as soon as my plane is supposed to land - very premature - they're on the case alright.

43) An email from Sir Francis states "As of now, I understand that Mayen is still stuck in the hospital . . . I hope there is a good explanation for your delay . . ."
Curious to use the phrase "I understand" - it sounds as if he doesn't want to commit himself.
Well - of course there's a very good explanation for my delay - I'm surprised he cannot "understand" that. Curious again that it was CC'd to Mayen & Marivien.
Followed by another email "If there is no logical explanation for your delay and unfounded suspicions, then I think you are an animal of the worst kind."
No logical explanation - meaning - what proof have you got?
Unfounded suspicions - meaning - a point blank refusal to even contemplate the word "scam."

44) During subsequent YM chats with Marivien - I ask for the doctors' details, patient number etc. Again insisting that I deal only with the hospital.
I am informed "Mayen dont have money to pay for the hospital bills thats why she cant go out of the hospital."
Despite the fact that earlier in an SMS Mayen says "timy sir f wants 2 knw, coz if u cnt come he wil deal d bil first.coz he wil setle h!s budget also.pls tel me..or tel sir f as son as posible"

I am given all sorts of excuses for why the hospital are not contacting me - some by Mayen in email - but none of them even hinting at the patient confidentiality issue.

Besides which - it is the Hospital's duty to inform the patient of their "Rights Of Waiver" - with regard to a solution for any confidentiality impasse.

From Marivien -

"i ask here before to tell the hospital to send all the invoice of the bills she had a copy of this
i will print all of your offline messages & emails then give to mayen
il give it to maye tomorrow because theres a typhoo here i cant go there coz of flood"

"She txt me right now that the admin of the hospital half day today because of super typhoon.so please call"

"Mayen is waiting for your call please call here i cant visit here now to the hospital coz of super typhoon"

[We found no trace of a super typhoon when checking the weather reports online.]

Tim: I repeat - the hospital must directly communicate with me vis email - with all the details that I have requested.
vhienne: yap.i ask that already to mayen before.I have work thats why i cant talkd to her doctor i visit her after office and the the doctor is already out

okey.mayen said that mybe the hospital email by tuesday cos saturday & sunday dont have admin office then monday its a holiday her in philippines

[When in fact it was the Tuesday 21st which was the holiday - Ninoy Aquino Day.]

From Sir Francis -

"Anyway, the first thing I want to do is to advise you that the Philippines is a
third world country so don't expect things to be done here as efficiently as they are done in the UK. As per the requests you have enumerated, I have dispatched Vien again to the
hospital for the nth time to get your requests no. 1 to 3. I had similar requests since last weekend but up to now it seems to have fallen in deaf ears of the hospital staff"

From Mayen in an email -

"All i can say is that i have to wait for office days coz the admin of the
hospital is off during saturdays and sundays and this coming monday i doubt if they have o office because its holiday. I tried my best to talked to them but i do nothing."

And in a chat - "i was angry with the hospital because poor accomodations really very poor and its expensive . . .
when i told them.. they told me they dont have the access of the internet it will be in the directors office"

Still no mention of the confidentiality issue.

45) There are discrepancies in the dates of Mayen's visiting relatives at "hospital."

46) Marivien starts to say "Phone Mayen at the hopsital or on her cellphone" now instead of just "phone Mayen on her cellphone."
Perhaps they are starting to panic.

47) Extremely emotionally mainipulative emails from Mayen until I start to send around my "dossier email" - which Sir Francis must have been informed of by his "close business associate." The associate replies - and strangely, one of her replies has the same IP address as Sir Francis has been using - whereas her other replies are from a different IP block altogether.

48) I am now sent by Sir Francis some of the details I requested, although the patient's number and a doctor's licence number are different in information I receive later from the hospital. The email address for one of the doctors does not match the address published on the hospital site. I am recommended to contact the other doctor (Dra. Leonardo) - as she was "the main cooperator to your requirements" - so, being perverse - I decide to try the other Dr. first - although I also wrote to Dra. Leonardo twice with no reply at all - and no bounce back as undelivered - after all, she wouldn't get her own email address wrong, would she. I also wrote to another random female doctor whose email address was posted on the hospital website asking her to forward the same email to Dra. Leonardo. She did not reply either.
However the first Dr - "Dr Dizon" - did reply - but did not answer many of the questions put to him, answered in a pointedly unincriminating way and was using an anonymous IP address. It was altogether very scruffy, brief and elusive. An email like this can be produced by anyone with medical knowledge or who can find their way around the Internet.
It has been pointed out to me that no professional Doctor would even dare to reply with such information as he did - he would simply ask me to refer to my lawyer - especially as he had been informed by me of the suspicious circumstances, and that the whole situation was under investigation. Unless he was in collusion - unless he wasn't a Doctor at all - the power of words again, of information - it was just an email address I was given by Sir Francis - how do I know who answered my email?
I propose that I was given "fake" email addresses - set up for this purpose - the doctors themselves may be completely innocent - ignorant of their names being used.

49) By now I had also written to Tony Montinola - the owner of Tierra Maria Estates - outlining my suspicions and asking for an explanation - and have never received a reply from him either.
I had also written to a named person at a government health department and a couple of real estate licencing boards - no reply from anyone.

50) The next thing I am sent is the Four Feathers letter - still highly emotive - almost emotional blackmail level - but also contains the information that Mayen is already "out of hospital" - having "arranged for her family to pay the account."

51) I receive a JPG of a bill from the hospital.
It appears to be the genuine article - but if there was no operation - it is a fake - produced using the hospital sytem.
There are strange, unexplainable alterations to some of the amounts for Professional Fees from the first set of figures sent.
The bill was prepared by only one person.
Discharge date states 13th August, & the "Run Time" (the time & date that this bill was prepared and printed out) is Tuesday 21st August 2007. A day when a lot of the staff would be on holiday.
Why do I receive this at all, when the account has already been settled?

52) When I email the hospital asking if the account has already been paid they reply that it hasn't - but their reply proves that the email system is accessible to the accounts department.

53) It is unusual practice not to remove a Fallopian tube after it has ruptured.

54) The timing of the Ampullary Section Ectopic Pregnancy rupture is very early.

55) Mayen reveals a discrepancy in the dates surrounding the earlier "false alarm" regarding the "pregnancy."

56) Mayen does not answer my question during a chat session - "How long is the scar?"

57) Mayen told me while "in hospital" that - "I have here all the receipts and invoices they are all numbered and legitimate. I will send it to you through DHL or fast pak."
Where are they now then? In all the time since August 2007 - with Mayen insisting that it was all true - insisting that she still loved me - knowing full well that all I required was some proof - that is decidedly odd.
Since then I have been informed (January 2008) that photographs were taken while Mayen was still "in hospital" - a photograph of "the bandage" - taken as some sort of proof? Well then - why did they not get mentioned until January 2008?
If Marivien had a Xerox of the bill in her hand on Monday 13th August - why was that not scanned and sent to me at the earliest possible opportunity?

58) Now the excuse starts to appear that the reason why the hospital didn't contact me directly was because of Patient Confidentiality - despite the Dra. already having breached that, despite the nurse who made enquiries presumably breached that, despite the fact that it is surely at the patient's discretion, despite the fact that all Mayen's relatives, colleagues, Mayen herself and Sir Francis - in that urgent situation, could not get the hospital to send me even an email to explain - perhaps why they could not deal with me directly.

What happened to the hospital's duty to inform the patient of their "Rights Of Waiver?"

59) Why does Mayen return to the scene - after all that has happened?
Is it because of the threat of my blog going public?
Is it because of the "bogus" money that she believes is waiting for her at Western Union - if she can only get the transaction number from me?
Why do we suddenly start using webcams for the very first time ever, immediately after the subject of the bogus money is brought into the conversation?

60) Why do I have to prompt her to reveal the scar?

61) Why can it not be done there and then?
Why the dubious excuse about the friends computer?
Why does she not stand still during the revelation of the scar?
Why is it so obviously a fake, with the markings of her knicker elastic?
Why does it smudge when she touches it?

62) Why has she been lying about being in Surigao?

63) Did Sir Francis really give her the sack, after trying to get a libel case started on her behalf, after all his "kindness" in the "hospital"?

64) Why am I forbidden to communicate with her old gang? Did she really change the SIM card in her phone to prevent Sir Francis from ringing her?

65) Why does she lie about her mother having a stroke?

66) Why does she lie about being in Sogod?

67) Why is my blog hacked and deleted an hour after going public?

68) Why can nobody in the Philippines understand why I was suspicious?

I have not got a crystal ball - in which to see the truth of events - all I have ever received was information.
However - the crystal seed of doubt - which formed originally by simply seeing that here was a golden opportunity for a scam - having all the classic ingredients - never received the assurance needed to stop it growing.
Quite the contrary - in the light of that awareness - the information, which was all I had to make judgements from, to try & assess the truth of the situation - revealed a great deal more.
Yes - it is very much a psychological, behavioural profile - and unfortunately, but typically in this type of scenario - there is little else to go on.
However - considering that the information itself has been uniformly ambiguous - neither weighted one way or the other because it could be deliberately designed to deceive - in a sense the information can be disregarded, or at least regarded as less important than the accompanying psychological, behavioural information - which is far less easily disguised - emerging spontaneously from the situation as it was perceived by themselves.
Information provided as a direct response to my enquiries, requests or actions - is far less significant than voluntary information - as it could be specifically tailored to order.

You will also see revealed a profile of my own psychological, behavioural state - and a lot of my conclusions are biased by a growing conviction that my suspicions were true.
So this is not a case of examining the facts - because nobody is in a position to establish where the facts or where the fantasies lie.
But it is a case of examining psychological perceptions - which themselves may or may not be biased by intent, or by love, or by a respect for the truth.
I am familiar with only one party involved in this episode - myself - my assured opinions come from that person, whose behaviour and psyche I am intimate with - who constantly self-checks the honesty and sincerity of his thoughts and words.
How intimate is anybody else likely to be with the people involved?

However - you are free to assess for yourself the key areas - whether or not you think that the behaviour I was witnessing was appropriate to a girl who professed her love for me, insisted that she wanted the relationship to continue - knowing full well that my suspicions needed resolving before that could happen.
You are free to assess how much the relationship was about financial gain and how much was about love.
You are free to assess whether or not there was any behaviour, designed to ensure circumstances whereby a pregnancy could be construed.
You are free to assess how many of the procrastinations, delays, excuses, examples of unresponsiveness etc. were due to normal circumstances, taking into account the specifics of the situation as reported.
You are free to assess why responses did occur when they did, taking into account the specifics of the situation regarding timing.
You are free to assess the validity of those responses - against the ambiguity of aims and purpose.
You are free to assess how innocence has been demonstrated and to decide whether or not this demonstration has occurred as a continued part of a deception or because innocence is genuine.
You are free to assess - whether fact or fiction, the publicising of this so strenuously, upon the medium of its enactment, may or may not advance the cause of awareness - and may or may not ultimately advantage the cause of those innocently seeking a genuine, loving relationship online.
But you are only free to assess - if your mind is free.

Some people, however, are so blinded by their pretence at machismo heroism, or their perfunctory patriotism that they are rendered incapable of using their perception or their intellect any further to discover an obvious truth.

Either that or this partiality indicates that their motives are far more sinister.
Which is it?

* The burden of proof is on the shoulders of the people who came up with the request for money. To prove that in the “transaction” the goods were
genuine.

* It is impossible to decode words to find the truth for the words remain the same in either case - truth or falsehood - the story that I was expected to believe would appear identical.

* Truth has a ring to it - detected from information other than presented by just the words. The alert is sounded by some other sense, instinct or gut feeling, when behaviour conflicts with information.
How can anyone else be expected to hear that ring, long since decayed, when they were not involved at the time?
The story is intended to provide those same alerts, but can only achieve that through the medium of words - hence the detailed analysis.

* Seeing as the sole means of communication being used throughout these events has been “words” and “information” - any form of hard evidence is incredibly unlikely - unless the people writing or speaking those words, despatching that information, were very, very foolish. Anyone insisting vehemently that an absence of hard evidence proves innocence is either lacking the intellect to understand subtle implications, or is deliberately blowing a smoke screen to conceal something else.

* On occasions like these, soft or psychological evidence is all that there is - deduced from behavioural responses, timing etc.

* As time has provided, since the very first ambiguous presentation, it has been possible to identify a pattern, accumulation of this psychological evidence indicates a trend that points in one direction only, culminating in the revelation of a fake scar on video.

* Immediate denial and an obstinate refusal to believe that such a video exists, again demonstrates either wishful thinking or a determined attempt to pervert the course of truth.

* It is neither required nor expected that such evidence be released for public consumption for reasons stated below.

1) The video is extremely intimate in nature.
2) Releasing the video would allow its copying, altering, it would assist in the production of photographs which could further assist the spread of propaganda.
3) Keeping it private balances the vacuum of information that is assisting those trying to deceive.
4) Its secrecy provides a dividing line - either side of which stand the honest or the dishonest, the realists or the wishful thinkers.
5) By appearing to offer a choice to believe the evidence portrayed on it, or not - it is the polarising element for the whole story. It will remain with a soft presence - being purely psychological in effect - as long as this entire drama is being acted out on that stage, on those terms.

So - spare me your dreams of the ideal Filipina - your wishful thinking - spare me your outrageous contempt.
Show me instead a true concern - a concern for the truth - elevate your dream country into reality.

Tierra Maria Estates Scam - Horse Heads & Red Flags - Tim Cumper

Common sense reminds us that there are one or two facets of this drama associated with unassailable facts.

1) That I had set myself up for a "honey pot" type scam.
2) Scams involving hospital fees are common in Asia & the Philippines.
3) Organised crime has a presence in the Philippines & on the Internet.

These three aspects require no proof whatsoever, but I shall elaborate on No 3.

A little research will uncover an association between the sex trade in Asia with Organised Crime, imported from Russia, USA and gangs native to those Asian countries where that trade proliferates.
A door was held wide open for infiltration from the USA during the years when the Philippines were under American rule.
Whole communities were established surrounding American military bases, nourished by the profits of the sex trade - a trade which has broadened and diversified, but continues today.
This is the bread and butter of Organised Crime.

Organised Crime infiltrates the infrastructure of society - temptation, threat and favour all play their part in conscribing all sorts of professions into its ranks, for life.
It is there - invisibly - like the rats and cockroaches which scour the sewers under our feet.
Concealed amongst the every-day, these professionals wait until their services are required - and obediently answer the call of duty.
A line is drawn - a line which intersects and divides indiscriminately - on one side stands morality, integrity and honesty - on the other - temptation, corruption and deceit - lawyer, priest, doctor, accountant - they are all there.

The Internet is an obvious shop window and an ideal utility behind which Organised Crime can lurk, anonymously, and fulfil its function.

Do not for one moment be naive enough to think that this is not true.

It presents us with a model that can function on many scales - large or small. It is a "modus operandi" which can be emulated - a basic blueprint for criminal activity.
They may not be the Russian, the Sicilian Mafia or the Yakuza from Japan - they may not have a name at all - but the method of operation and the motive is the same.

To receive such rigid assurance that none of this could possibly be associated with the episode I was involved with, indicates intimate familiarity with and first hand knowledge of the machinations of Organised Crime - at any level, for nobody without that experience would be so assured, or bother to be so insistent.

Now that the dust is beginning to settle - the ad hominem attacks subsiding - perhaps it is a good time to remind ourselves of the essentials - the salient points.

First, however, a brief look at impartiality and imagination.

Let it be said that I came upon this adventure not knowing a single thing about the Philippines - never having addressed the issues of scamming, of any type - nor ever having subscribed to a dating site, of any type.
It was all brand new - my mind was a blank canvas.

One of my very first impressions upon visiting Date In Asia - and these weren't comparative impressions as this was my very first time - was that I would be taking a risk - an enormous risk, emotionally.
Here, in combination with the anonymity and unverifiable nature of information across the Internet - was a potentially dangerous place.
Seeing page after page of attractive women, smiling, sparkling - offering their gentle, innocent profiles - knowing myself as I do, I would have to keep a tight rein on my emotions - keep my wits about me.

I did not know the boundaries of scamming - only that the intention was to collect money.
The amounts, the methods, the realities of it were entirely unknown.
But I felt sure that somewhere, here on this site perhaps, I could assess the situation sensibly, and hopefully find the girl of my dreams - willing to share the adventure of love.
It is true, at my age, I am not particularly interested in, or attracted to the idea of starting a relationship with anyone middle-aged or over. No I wanted a new beginning, freshness, vitality - a chance to build from the ground floor together - and the excitement of sharing that prospect powered me on to complete my profile - assured by much of the material online which I had now started to read - that relationships with Filipinas involving quite large age differences were not only accepted, but were often successful.

I was keenly aware that once I had sold my house, I would have the start, the seed of a comfortable life to share in the Philippines. The details of finding work abroad, in fact any details whatsoever, were vague at best - but there would be time to explore all these avenues once certainty had taken a firm hold on my destiny.
In my assessment, my money, the exchange rate, the difference in standards of living - all enabled this to happen - made it possible for me to contemplate seriously this dream.
But importantly - vitally - critically - the new relationship was to be based on a genuine love - in spite of these differences - not because of them. Somehow, that distinction was paramount.
So my attention was elsewhere - my focus was on character - suitability - a feeling of comfortableness.

This is the first mistake - underestimating the powerful drive that many Filipinas have to better themselves - to make things better for their families.
Me - making slight of the attraction that a perceived jump in status and wealth can mean.
I was ignoring the very reason, the essential mechanism, that could make the sort of relationship that I dreamed for happen.
Why? Because of my focus - and also because of a need for my ego to actually believe that it could happen for different reasons - perhaps mutual attraction - love even.

So unwittingly, blindly - I had become the ideal target for a scam - because I was self-deceiving - I was in denial.
My vision was blurred.
Mis-interpreting the skillful, honeyed words - not detecting the true motive for them - I was anaesthetised by the narcotic power they had over my ego and my desires.

But I had, definitely placed all of my eggs of hope, in this one basket.
I was empowered for a change, to move my life, lock, stock and barrel - cushioned throughout the lengthy, tedious process of jumping through all the hoops to enable this to happen - cushioned on a cloud of - well - what was it?
I was convinced at the time that it was sincere, genuine, respectful. There is no denial that physical attraction is a main ingredient in a new relationship - but my plans were for marriage - going the whole way. I would not have had it differently - the emotions I felt commanded this.

Had I not been so excited, so swept away - it wouldn't have happened at all - I am who I am - I react how I react - and I plan what I plan.
It required that I had a total trust in the person I met - unquestioning - despite the potential risks.
I can only be me - and this was me - in love.
We give it our best shot - always.
But we are all trapped in our own nature.

There will always be those who, in applying retrospective wisdom, will point at faults - especially those people who specifically search out for vulnerablilties to attack - as has been happening recently.
Equally - those very people are just being themselves - reacting how they react.
There is little to gain in character assassination - in fact - a lot to lose.
A sinking of standards, of the spirit.

Perhaps it could have all been handled differently - but what is done is done.

I have tried to present the events as I saw them.
It was all presented to me via information of one sort or another - telephone calls, SMS messages, IM chats, emails.
But beyond the information itself - there are instincts, gut feelings - which modify the experience of that information, they ring the alarm bells when behaviour is at odds with it.
What people are generally not acknowledging is that the whole situation was one of ambiguity.
(Now when I say "people" here - I mean that small fraction who have been motivated to react in some way - in opposition - or in absolute denial - or contemptuous hostility.)
In other words it was open to interpretation - and personally, as far as I was concerned - that ambiguity meant confusion, ambivalence.
It was essential for me to try to keep a foot either side of the line, to keep a balanced perspective.
But I have to admit that the mounting weight on one side has completely pulled me over that line - to a point where I can see, that it was only my own ego, clinging on desperately to the dream, it was only my continuing emotional attachment that made me question everything that my common sense was telling me.

My ego, being led by my emotions, would have liked me to believe that everything happened as the information I was sent suggested - that Mayen, was indeed in love with me, we did indeed bring our love to fruition, briefly, with a pregnancy.
But putting myself in Mayen's position, and trying to imagine that scenario - highlights how odd her behaviour has been - and generally, by those people proclaiming my story a hoax - their cruel tactics have been to toy, ruthlessly - like a cat with a mouse - with that emotion - the bitter disappointment of losing Mayen - across the board - love is used as a crowbar, a weapon - in an unconscionable display of ice-cold contempt.

Similarly, in the complete absence of any factual knowledge, detractors of my opinion are placing themselves in an equivalent position to my ego, with their wishful thinking - they cannot be in love with Mayen - but are in love with the ideal Filipina, the image of the Philippines that my story seems to contradict.
They cannot, will not, allow themselves to be critical, rational, impartial - as a result, they use their imaginations to paint their picture upon the totally blank canvas of their specific knowledge about this affair.
They do not entertain the whispers of instinct, are too far away in time from the warning bells that I heard ringing - and have only my words to guide them.
What they portray is the fair image within their own minds.
Their common sense, their perceptiveness, their honesty is switched off - just as mine was, early on.
And why is this so?
For one simple and obvious reason.
They are Filipinos themselves.
They are protecting a phantom image of their own creation - they do not know Mayen - or any of the events from their first hand knowledge.
They are perpetuating the myth.
This is irresponsible behaviour - if, as they would insist, they do truly love their country.
Responsible behaviour would not be satisfied with character assassination, with ad hominem remarks - they would not bother to write one single word until they were in possession of hard, unambiguous facts - to counter the details of my story - determined to eradicate one of the causes of their country's sagging reputation - a country where unfortunately that decline is being actively hastened and accentuated by all those who engage in the commodification of women.

That way - the facts would speak for themselves - carrying the weight that was due to them - there would be absolutely no need to enter into facile arguments, blank denials, character assassinations - the sort of behaviour that has been happening - since February 2008 in fact.

But no - they love their phantom, their mythical creation with a passion - and defend her honour by stooping to the lowest tactics imaginable.

TIERRA MARIA ESTATES SCAM - Which is undoubtedly a scam, a whole scam and nothing but a scam - as I will prove by demolishing these comments from FilipinaImages. Now - for a start - Noemi has BANNED ME FROM COMMENTING on the site - proof positive that she is afraid of embarrassing questions, of me steering things towards the truth. But - I can respond to all of these COWARDLY, ANONYMOUS COMMENT DROPPERS - right here.
Hiding behind anonymity - what are they afraid of, eh? So we can probably take who they say they are with a large pinch of salt - unless they care to come forward and identify themselves - fat chance of that happening.

Ok - so how long had you known your Pinay GF before you were requested to pay for her Operation? It may seem as if it's my word against theirs (yours) - but how come your assumptions are so assertive, so hostile, so energetic? There is certainly more cause for suspicion than belief in these particular circumstances, so where do you come into it all? Eh? Yes I have a video - no - I will not reveal it because it will be copied. Have you not seen the start of the video on the web? What leads you to believe that I haven't got the rest of it? Wishful thinking - or is it something else? It's not "just money" as you put it - not at all - at the start of a relationship one has to be certain of character, I'm sure you will agree. My caution was certainly justified - but why the hostile reaction, eh? That gives the game away.

Why is it that Cumper’s journal did not show up until long after August? I think it went up around Friday, 26 October 2007. [As you may have read by now, I started to write about my romance - full of pride and happiness - on my return from the Philippines.
After August 10th (the alleged hospital incident) as the story had not concluded, I carried on writing about the events as they happened. It was kept private, but importantly, Mayen and Tierra Maria Estates (Sir Francis Jalbuena) were made aware of its existence as early as August 2007 - around the time Mayen "left the hospital."
This, no doubt, had a strong influence on the events that followed - being attempts to get my writing destroyed - as it presented an online threat to Tierra Maria Estates - and any further criminal activities, using the same pattern, the same features. Remember - one hour after my blog went public for the first time (late September 2007) the account was hacked into and deleted - removing the blog from circulation.
Who was responsible for that?
Any guesses?
Who had the motive?
Who had the means? You are correct in that once the files were rescued, the blog reappeared in October.]

[Ah - but you see - it was only Mayen who was communicating with me after August. For some reason, she worked very hard at forbidding me to get in contact with "the gang" - even going as far as "getting the sack"- from the previously supportive Sir Francis. Obvious why - she had been sent out to pretend that she was now in the province, recovering, to draw the heat away - (when she wasn't anywhere near the province - still lurking around Manilla) - NEVER EVEN OFFERING ONCE TO SEND CONCLUSIVE PROOF THAT a) SHE WAS PREGNANT b) THAT SHE REALLY DID HAVE AN OPERATION - for example - the photographs that were allegedly taken while she was "in hospital" - by (she told me) her sister. Now - that is decidedly odd - if the photographs were taken as proof of the operation - & taken in August 2007, why were they NOT EVEN MENTIONED UNTIL JANUARY 2008? Where is any of the quantity of paperwork that must have been generated by a real operation, a real monetary deposit by Sir Francis, a real sale of "the family inherited property" to pay the hopital account? Where? Where? Where? Why did the hospital send me the JPG of the bill when Mayen had already arranged days before (allegedly) for the family to take care of the account by selling "the coconut land?" You see, even at this stage THERE ARE TOO MANY HOLES IN THE STORY - requiring too many feeble excuses to plug them with. Events DO NOT HAPPEN LIKE THIS IN REAL LIFE - how many rolls of the dice, how many coincidences - in every event that happened, at every stage of the game - requiring excuses - before you say to yourself - hang on - this does not ring true? Now - are you reading this? Are you intelligent? Have you any common sense? What do your instincts tell you? Yet you can still ignore all those red flags - & carry on with your bombardment of LIES and PROPAGANDA? What sort of people are you? This is why it has gone public - because of the silence by those that should be defending themselves - and because of the noise that is being made by those who have been stirred up, artificially to make a response - it is just a loud noise - that's all - made by TOTALLY EMPTY VESSELS - whose interiors, already hollowed out by the rot and canker of corruption - resonate at deafening volumes - but it is not the ring of truth - JUST THE DIN OF PROPAGANDA - nothing more.]

Do they not have a Mailboxes etc. equivalent in the U.K.? Could he not rent some type of ‘post office box’ for her to send the evidence to instead of giving his home address? If receiving timely evidence was so important to him why didn’t he take the minimal steps necessary to receive it?

But you are ignoring again important aspects, because you have chosen to reflect only your own interests in this.
a) How come none of this "evidence" has surfaced since August 2007? OK - where is it? Don't ignore that question.
b) What makes someone choose blackmail tactics, emotional manipulation, the sending of threats in emails - over simply revealing the "proof?" Eh? What's the excuse for that then?
c) Imagine for one moment, if you are capable, the turmoil that was happening as a result of this - for a start - I was almost entirely convinced at the time the offer was made to send "the bills and receipts from the hospital" - that I was being scammed - and that they were desperate to gain some leverage over a situation that was running away from them. Hence the request for my home address. For no other reason to start threats and blackmail. You have already proved that you do not believe that my wife knows anything about any of this (NoBrainerElena wrote as much) - using that as a threat - I have already had threatening emails - of course, from an alias, of course, cunningly veiled threats (because anything else would be too incriminating - and would involve the police.)
c) Why choose such an obscure, lengthy procedure, in favour of what I had already requested - namely that I wanted to deal with the hospital, directly - via email? (Something they were perfectly able to do, when it suited them - ie - when things were getting a little too hot for them.) You see - again - it is not logical - it is defensive behaviour - knee-jerk reactions - unco-ordinated, haphazard - for something that should have been so easy and obvious. Yet - of course - you will choose to ignore ALL THESE WARNING SIGNS - that something very odd was going on - not simply a relationship with a problem that needed urgently resolving.]
Regarding the IP address that Cumper returns to again and again. An easy google search on “Philippine IP address space” will allow the user to discover how terribly small the IP address space is in the Philippines. IP address are reused constantly by DHCP systems. Two different people showing the same IP address is insufficient proof to determine that they are the same person, that the same computer is being used, or even that they are in the same location.
[OK - let's put this to bed once and for all. We are talking about the Conned By A Filipina posting on Noemi's site - Filipina Images. The first comment from "Noemi" is from the very same IP address that Sir Francis has used, more than once before, to open tracked emails that I have sent him. Not only that, but back in August 2007, it appears on a reply to my email sent to one of his "close business aquaintances" who gave me her business card at the Barrio Fiesta in Hounslow in July 2007. It was the first one of a pair of emails received in the space of 3 1/2 hours and contains a punctuation "trademark" of Sir Francis. The first comment from "Emily" contains an IP address that appears 4 1/2 hours later on Neomi's next comment, not only that, but Noemi has used the same IP address to visit my blogs, while trying to hide her MyBlogLog identity. Now - the odds. There are 65 x 255 (16,575) separate IP locations available in this particular block - giving us odds of 16,575 to 1 against this happening at all - let alone on the same day.
BUT - and a big but - Neomi admits to having FOUR IP PROVIDERS - so we can probably multiply those odds by four. How many providers does Sir Francis have? How many providers does Emily have, or "the close business associate?" So you can see the odds are astronomical - and to have happened on 3 separate occasions. . .
BUT - what are the odds for two people, sharing a determination to deceive - not using very simple subterfuge and masquerading techniques to acheive their common aim? COME ON - WHO ARE YOU TRYING TO KID? Insufficient proof? With those odds, that is precisely what you have - to prove that this did not happen, yet - still you ignore the obvious. Why does Noemi spell DateInAsia correctly the first time as Dating Asia the second time? Is that the sort of mistake a seasoned blogger, or anyone would make & let past?
By the way, just a reminder here - scams do happen - the Philippines are unfortunately renowned for hospital bill scams - OK - so this is not your common scam - just one single girl - it appears to involve quite a few people. BUT DOES THAT MEAN IT'S IMPOSSIBLE? Don't ignore that question either.]

Spectral analysis will reveal nothing from a webcam video. The nature of the compression routines used makes it impossible for any such analysis to reveal anything significant from a bunch of compressed macroblocks. Some types of analysis can show where such a video might have been altered, but no type of analysis of web video is going to be able to show whether a scar is ‘fake’ or not. Anybody that works with web video more then casually knows this.
[Ha, ha - gobbledygook - McGoo! Trying to baffle with science, eh? Well, I'll let you into a little secret shall I? The "Sophisticated, Breakthrough, Digital/Analogue equipment for Spectral Analysis and Image Enhancement" - was none other than a decent monitor and a MAGNIFYING GLASS - digital/analogue - get it? Spectral analysis - get it? Image enhancement - get it? That was all we needed to confirm what our naked eyes were telling us - it was that obvious - OK. By the way - have you seen it? Then how come you immediately jump into disbelief and denial? I'll tell you why - because you are biased and bigotted and you are trying to corrupt the course of HONESTY AND TRUTH - no other reason. If you have another motive - please be kind enough to reveal it.]

One of the things they do with IP’s in the Philippines is to set up many local networks using private IP ranges and then connecting out one public IP. [I'm sure they do - but we are talking about this specific instance - and consider the odds, the coincidences.] Businesses do this all the time. The internet cafe you visit no doubt has only 1 or 2 IPs. When you get broadband at home and connect more than one computer to it, you’re doing the same thing. In fact it is very simple to set up 254 computers on the internet using only one public IP. You don’t even have to think about it, you just set the router to DHCP and let it do the rest. Setting up for even more is possible, but then you have to know a bit more about what you’re doing.
I’ve seen and browsed these local networks in action that are set up by the internet companies in RP. Its just like browsing a home network, except the computers are in different peoples homes. This is still a trick used all over the world when the IP allocation is running short, but in a country like the Philippines with limited funds it is even more common. [Err - excuse me - limited funds - Telecom Companies? You are joking - I've read their Financial Analyses, end of year statements.] It was even even very common in the USA when cable TV networks started into the internet business. I’m sure some of them are still doing it yet. Shared access and shared IP’s for a smaller price while those that need a dedicated unshared IP pay more. [Businesses - for example.]
To get down to the basics, 254 homes can easily be on the same Public IP at the same time, although the most I’ve seen on one public IP was about 50. But this was in Davao which probably has less demand per available public IP. [We're still a long way off resolving the odds at stake - this is nonsense.]
Mayen, may God grant that you find mutual love with a man deserving of your own capacity to love and forgive. [OK - where did that come from? What gives you the right to suggest that I need forgiveness? What speck of proof have you got which licences you (and all the others) to deny those areas that I have pointed out as red flags, causes for suspicion and caution? I have read both sides and it seem that it is all about miscommunication which led to mistrust and paranoia. It is a sad fact to accept but there are scammers in the Philippines and he may have just thought you are one. He has presented plausible arguments and you have also presented your arguments and answers. However, all of this is just making things more confusing and chaotic. Adding more mess to an already messy situation. I do feel for you because its not easy to be left brokenhearted, but knowing us filipinas, you can be better. There are many things that you can still do to fix all of these whether you want to get back together or get back at him. [In the first instance, sending me some legitimate proof might have been one of those things - in support of any part of her version of events, in support of her insistence that she still wanted the "genuine" relationship to continue - for all those months afterwards. In the second instance - she already tried that - with the money she was trying to get for a visit to "her mother in hospital, with a stroke."] Playing the game of love is definately risky hence we all should be prepared for the possibility of a broken heart. I wish you good luck and peace of mind.

*You are absolutely correct - and that is precisely the problem I now have in believing anything I am told. There has been so much subterfuge and deceit going on - to cure what was a very simple problem initially - providing me with legitimate evidence, putting an end to my entirely justified suspicions, in an appropriate time frame - which should have been the easiest thing in the world to do - especially with so much at stake - the reputations of Mayen and Tierra Maria Estates - why has it never been done?

A "Help Mayen" campaign is not out of the question. Tim himself makes the statement that he had a "breakdown" that included what he recognized as paranoid thoughts. Here is a blogger who is taking action due to Tim's posts. The preponderance of the evidence points to Tim as the only one trying to "Scam" though he apparently is seeking nothing more than publicity. The response from the British Embassy is telling also...No help with a libel suit since no reasonable person (in the opinion of the Embassy officer) would believe Tim's publications.
Assuming the basic facts that Tim uncovered and published are reasonably correct, then he did in fact get Mayen pregnant and she was hospitalized for ectopic pregnancy. Real estate sales records should show whether the family sold land at a time consistent with needing to pay the bill. Given the headaches Tim caused a very helpful employer I'd be wary of info from that source ... I'd assume they have reason to cause Tim problems if given a chance.

Now that his "Philippine Scam" has started breaking down, I wonder if we'll soon be seeing an Indonesia Scam or Malaysia Scam starring Tim as the gullible rich foreigner.

* The blogger in question, Noemi Dado, we know for a fact has allowed spurious comments to be posted on the post "Conned by A Filipina" - which by the way, was not my original title - she changed it without asking. She has since lied about me removing the post.
We have a comment from Emily and one from Noemi with the same IP address (one that Noemi is still using to visit my blog, while "hiding" her BlogCatalog ID) and we have 1 comment from "Noemi" from the same IP address that we have tracked emails being opened on several occasions previously by Sir Francis Jalbuena.
Now, I have already proved that changing the username in comments is very easy.
So, before you take what you read there seriously, ask yourself, why should they be acting in this manner, if they have nothing to hide?

* As for me seeking publicity - publicity was used as a lever - to expose this entire escapade - for no other reason - to try and force a conclusion out of the silence that was the only response I was getting from Tierra Maria Estates.

Not that it matters in the slightest - we already strongly suspect that Sir Francis, Tierra Maria Estates are only pawns themselves. There is wealth and power involved in this fraternity, enough to be able to buy their way into or out of any situation - and create the environment of fear to keep the lid firmly in place.

* Don't assume anything - about the "facts" that I have uncovered - they have not been proven as facts yet - they are simply what I was told, what it was hoped that I would believe - that Mayen was ever pregnant, or hospitalised - nothing has been proved at all - that is the whole point - so don't go leaning one way or another - unless you cannot help it.

*Yes - real estate records should show some evidence - or to be more precise - should have been able to show some evidence, at the time - or at any time since, to support Mayen's claim that the relationship was sincere - that she still wanted it to continue. Where was the slightest inclination to provide this proof - AT THE TIME?
It's the easiest thing in the world to produce a faked document in answer to a request from me, but why was nothing done voluntarily? How could these people be so stupid as not to provide anything to prove their innocence, if it existed - instead of trying all manner of subterfuge and deceit?

Tierra Maria Estates Scam

Over twelve months have passed now since I was informed, by telephone, that Mayen was in hospital for the ectopic pregnancy operation.
Obviously, in the full knowledge that this was a classic scenario for a scam - and involving the Philippines, a country unfortunately renowned for this sort of activity - this added a completely different perspective to the relationship.
Yes - I had become suspicious - and in hindsight - I had very good cause for this suspicion.

What followed, in answer to my pleas for unambiguous proof, in a very difficult situation, was that it was dealt with in a totally unsatisfactory and inappropriate way - and in a way that only heaped suspicion upon suspicion - offering nothing at all in the way of proof without being harrassed to do so - only excuses - all the time excuses and some quite preposterous inconsistencies, when compared to the alleged circumstances that were supposed to be unfolding.

The circumstances of a personal and interpersonal tragedy, that required people's best efforts and intentions to bring to conclusion with as little trauma as possible.

Why have the people concerned found it impossible to prove their innocence in this matter?
I think there is only one answer to that question.
Why have they resorted to subterfuge and further deceit in their efforts to portray my story as a hoax?
The same answer, the only answer possible to conclude - that they are doing a very bad job at concealing their guilt.

There has been such a barrage of distraction recently from the team of bloggers, distorting and exaggerating my words to ridiculous extremes - relying not on a discernment of truth, but on a completely partial national pride - trying to stain me as a racist - proving again that they have nothing concrete to offer - and that they are of such a low calibre morally, that they are prepared to use these tactics.

Hype, spin and propaganda.
Where have we heard that before?
Going hand in hand with bribery and corruption - what sort of mentality are we being shown?

There is one of me, against a whole team of them. I am only interested in the truth being shown, whereas their motivation seems obscure, although their tactics have already revealed their mentality.

Like slimey, slippery fish - they are wriggling and squirming, with very little room to operate. Their only conviction, typically, not the important issue of truth, but the lesser goal of winning the upper hand with propaganda.

A hollow, sham of a victory. The sort of victory that only very hollow people could satisfy themselves with.

The story is a complex mix of personal and business interests - fear and power.
Perhaps we have had enough opportunity now to think this over - and let the obvious conclusions and implications come to the fore.
Can we overcome fear?
Can we show some practical condemnation of this behaviour which is so destructive to relationships between the Philippines and the rest of the world?
Or will we remain quiet?
Sitting on the fence?
Let us step aside from hype and bigotry - let the light of truth - and our true opinions shine.

miraculously produce Mayen - bring her into the discussions taking place online in some forum or other - and proceed with a carefully scripted denouncement of my accusations - the very same stone-walled denial that I have been subject to since August.
They will simply repeat my story - illustrated with fabrication - false testimony - excusing all the evidence - with yet more exotic lies - words - cheap words - forged in the furnace of their tribulation.
Well - if anyone is remotely interested in following this online Oprah debacle - what will certainly be a complete travesty of honesty - go ahead - be their guests."

When I asked Mayen to show me her scar, during the webcam chat on 26/09/07 - she had a golden opportunity to show me right there and then.
There were only two other people in the cafe - it could easily have been done discretely.
What followed was a complete fudging of the issue - why it could only be shown to me the following morning - and indescrepencies were made in the excuses I received by SMS.

The reason I am starting off by mentioning this event is because it is illustrative of the behaviour demonstrated throughout.
Proof is only profound and pertinent if it occurs when the opportunity first presents itself. At any other time - especially months down the line - one cannot avoid the question "Why was this not done at the time?"
Mayen and Sir Francis knew from the earliest moment of my suspicions - therefore every piece of information sent to me acted in one way or another - as proof.
The events surrounding August 10th 2007 were never given the urgent respect that they deserved in this context - and the result of their neglect is that the scam was revealed.

Let us never forget that the language of scammers, deceivers, confidence tricksters - is the language of emotional manipulation.
Always depending on a certain weakness being present in the victim.
In the case of a scam such as this - that weakness is love and desire.
But that very same love has a deep, instinctive recognition when reality tips out of balance.

The latest offering - which is supposed to be influential as proof of Mayen's innocence - and more importantly the innocence of Tierra Maria Estates - comes in the shape of a video interview - made by Noemi Dado & edited by John Phillips Bengero (of GameOPS.)

A humorous introduction in pseudo-documentary style, complete with saccharine sound track and laughable attempts at voice-overs (which sound mysteriously as if they have been purposely distorted - so as not to incriminate the owners.)
It certainly will appeal (just as the similarly styled Tierra Maria Estates promotional videos do) to those accustomed to a poor diet of mock Hollywood, "B" movie veneer - where superficiality is mistakenly seen as class.
Unfortunately for the makers of this video - it comes across as a spoof - thus accurately setting the tone for the material that follows - an hour long interview of Mayen.
A quieter location would have been preferred as the background noise is often distracting - but I suppose a public place is suitably anonymous - chosen again for its non-incriminating value.
The end credits consist of photographs stolen from my Flickr photostream - and caustic messages from the recent rash of bloggers - denying that they were paid for their activities, proving, once and for all, that they are as thick as thieves - they'd all been briefed to say the same thing.

Essentially - it's a guided nuclear missile - designed exclusively to totally devastate my emotional DNA.
A great deal of the dialogue is in Tagalog - to give the false impression that it is for general public consumption - with occasional subtitles to drive home key points.
But this is a weapon - bearing all the hallmarks of the scammers' devious psychological methods - with one singular victim in its sights.

Fortunately I ducked at just the right time - I had seen it approaching my horizon over a month ago.

Yes - it is hard when confronted with deception - such consumate acting skill - and yet we see it all the time on the stage, on TV - and we willingly suspend our disbelief.
It is so much easier for the confidence trickster on the stage of real life - where trickery is not expected and when the eager hopes of the victim do most of the work.
In order to succeed not a single mistake can be made - one single lie, one flaw - and the forgery is revealed for what it is - a fake.
Their job is to produce a seamless, convincing alternative to reality - that is perfectly believable.
What we see here in this video - the tears, the smiles - is the sugar coating to a very bitter pill - a drug whose virtual intoxication over the Internet is all the more powerful because of the absence of the normal tells and clues of behaviour.
I am, in a way, slightly inured to it now - having been subjected to it since August 2007 - but for the unaccustomed - only by grasping firmly the motivation for this behaviour - money - can it start to be understood.

Of course now, months after the events themselves - the story can be "fleshed out" with suitably realistic imagery . . . "carried downstairs on a little plastic chair."
They have virtually a completely empty canvas to paint on their own details - something Mayen herself and scammers in general - are expert at - deception - telling lies.
Just read in my blog how convincing she can be - and here's another example - as Mayen paints a picture of the life she is having in Surigao - where she is pretending to be, just after " leaving the hospital."
Of course - the IP address on all of these emails reveals that she is holed up somewhere else - we believe possibly Cavite.

"I have changed my cellfone number its only you,my school friends and my family knows the number no other, hehehe. by the time i will go back to manila everything will be new.. new job, new friends and new people to meet..new life.. new challenge..im looking forward about it. and im ready, im more stronger hehehe.
Talking about the city fiesta, well its all fun.. everyone is enjoyed especially the SINULOG FESTIVAL- its a kind of street dancing.. every group contestant wore their native and colorful costumes.. they wore thier mascara in their faces.. its really very nice.. then we had the grand alumni night,i met all my school friends,and teachers..we talked about the past, the highschool days.. heheehe really funny. Most of them are married and have kids. wow what a life, in my batch there were only 8 singles including me.. hehehe..everyone's happy.. eating others were drunk.. In my sister's hauz oh my goodness we are really crowded, full house. almost all the member of my family is here.. tomorrow mama and papa will go back home to leyte.. and my other brother's and my nieces.. i'll stay in here. so i can communicate to you.. bakla also will stay also."

Strange how, even in text, the lies are followed by a release of nervous laughter " he, he, he."

Precisely as I had predicted in February - they are resorting to the only trick they know - in the absence of any material evidence to support their version of events - they bring Mayen back on to the scene.
Playing the sympathy card - months later than the events themselves - when the relevence of the details has become nicely blurred - they attempt further manipulation of the truth - by emotional persuasion.
That is the game that they have been playing since day one.
That is precisely how scammers operate.

If anyone is gullible, naive enough to be sucked into believing this version of events now - it is quite easy - many of the details can be excused and argued away - especially now. But believe in this - and you are entirely missing the point.
These details were extremely pertinent - how, why and when they occurred - but have to be seen within the time frame of their occurrence - seen as completely inappropriate responses to situations - that is where their power lies as evidence, as proof that events were not proceeding at all as a normal relationship should - but were unfolding exactly as a scam, a deception would.

I have been hearing these excuses since August 2007.
At last, almost a year after meeting Mayen for the first time online - events have come full circle. By showing Mayen with Noemi we have an established link between all the various characters who have been appearing online - masquerading sometimes under fake or anonymous identities - Mabs, Fermin, SouthernDon - who trumpeted an announcement that this video was on its way - the various voices heard in the forums - and Jepoy - who collaborated in the production of this masterpiece.

They are all in cahoots - striving for a common goal - the protection of a Big Business interest - the extracting of money from the west by deception - linked to real estate and the sex tourism industry.
They are defending their own little patch - trying to keep the whole shop window (the Internet) sparkling and clean - free from any negative influence, as represented by my story.
No wonder they are putting an inordinate amount of effort in this direction.
There are also many people who are afraid to speak out openly about this.

Tierra Maria however, apart from Sir Francis's early, direct involvement, have never overtly shown themselves - they have not once communicated with me - content to have their dirty work done by proxy - using Mayen herself and lately personalities on the Internet.
Sir Francis's recent public statement only very briefly saw the light of day before it was withdrawn.

I am in an unusual position - my genuine love acts like armour plating - I am self-employed, my wife knows all about the situation - I have publicly announced it for the world to see on the Internet.
Most people involved in a situation like this would be trying to hide it - afraid of opening themselves to the blackmail attempts and threats that would surely follow were they to make any form of public declaration.
That explains why no other examples can be found.
Trying to use the excuse that "no other examples of a scam like this have been found" does nothing to illumine this particular situation - it was a despicable thing to attempt - whether once or a hundred times.

My personal attacks - countering the personal attacks from people who are allegedly "unconnected" are entirely justified - I'm simply playing them at their own game.
They got involved.
They allegedly did not know the people or the circumstances of the events - so in my opinion were sticking their noses where they did not belong.
This is between Mayen, Tierra Maria Estates (or more precisely, Sir Francis of Tierra Maria Estates) and myself.

The manner in which all these other people have materialised at more or less the same time - indicates that they had been mobilised by Tierra Maria Estates to combat my material online.
Unfortunately - Tierra Maria Estates themselves - in their efforts to keep distanced from all of this - have remained silent throughout - leaving it up to Mayen to twist me back into line - and remove my writings.
Big Business - remember.

No adequate proof was ever sent to me in a timely manner - only excuses for why this could never be done - and as explained thoroughly in my "Psychology of A Scam" & "Behaviour Analysis" postings - behaviour, all round & throughout has been a totally inappropriate response - always relying on emotional, blackmailing methods - instead of simply furnishing unambiguous proof.
Remember - this is all about manipulating emotions - modern day alchemists - transmuting love into gold.

My search for the truth had broadened to such a degree that Tierra Maria Estates could no longer ignore it - and so they enrolled collaborators - people already known to them - so that they could still keep their distance - keep their hands clean.

The current video is just such an attempt - to keep Tierra Maria Estates out of the picture - to let Mayen become the full focus again - absorb all the attention - while at the same time - trying to keep up appearances and also perhaps ensnare me back into the emotional trap once more.

Exaggerating my claims out of all proportion will make them appear to be ridiculous - that is their aim. Be sure to check the facts with my blog.
I have never suggested that numerous people were destined to share any payoff resulting from the scam. People can be influenced to do favours - especially when it is for a general commercial interest - without money changing hands.
That is precisely what I have always called Bayanihan Payola - doing favours out of a mutual interest - but the subtlety of the phrase is obviously lost in the translation somewhere.
Most of the people implicated only became involved in helping provide fake evidence, false testimony - after the first, simple scam attempt had failed and some are merely implicated by association, for remaining silent - I have never, ever suggested what the payoff was.

You see - unless you keep your wits about you - you might start to believe these people - stay alert - it is a Big Business that is at stake here - the very image of the Philippines is under siege.

Do not be led astray by the lies contained within Noemi's text - the details of which - incredibly, by her own admission, only come from reading my blog. Do not be fooled either by the narrative of the video - Mayen's halo of innocence - it's an illusion created by the construction of the interviewer's script and the critical questions that were not asked - or glossed over.
You will see how easy it is to twist the truth after the events themselves have passed.

Lie No 1
Noemi lies about Mayen wanting to send me a photograph of the scar from the hospital.

"Tim Cumper refused to give his mailing address. Mayen wanted to prove that she really was hospitalized and wanted to send copies of her medical records and photos of her scar from the surgery."

Here is the line from Mayen's email to me:

"I have here all the receipts and invoices they are all numbered and legitimate. I will send it to you through DHL or fast pak.This is the least i could do while waiting for the office day to open. So please give me your address."

It would have been an obvious thing to do at the time - had there been any photographs - but Noemi only inserts this lie to cover for the fact that the photographs from Mayen's cell phone - of her "in hospital" were only created in January 2008.
Where is that photograph of the scar?
Not even Noemi has seen it or shows it on her blog.
They dare not create one simply because they cannot accurately recreate what was shown to me over the webcam - because they have never seen the video.

I quote Noemi:

"Did Mayen fake her hospitalization? Imagine all the preparation just to “fake” this photo?"

(Suggesting that the "hospitalization" really only exists in the photograph.)

The answer is yes, the hospital was already implicated, certain to have cooperated - considering the Big Business interest at stake - Tierra Maria Estates had no option.
The reason for me not passing on my address was to avoid blackmail and the sort of threats that have already appeared in emails - from coming through my letterbox at home.

Lie No 2
Mayen states that she spoke to the British Embassy on the telephone while in the hospital.

When I asked Carlos Tampinco at the embassy where did he get the information about Mayen from, he replied:
"Did you mean the source of information?
Hospital: Mr. Landicho - Accounts Manager."

Lie No 3
Back to the old chestnut of Noemi's IP address being the same as Sir Francis.

" He thinks Francis (one of his alleged scammer) used my username at FilipinaImages.com just because we have similar IP address. I blogged about it here and here to clarify his accusations."

No - Noemi - it was not similar - it was identical - every digit. As a result it is unique - it is not shared by ISP's - and we have previously tracked emails to Sir Francis which have been read at this IP address.
At a conservative estimate, the odds would be 16,065 to 1 against this happening, but as you admit that you have 4 ISP's Noemi, we can probably multiply this by a factor of 4.
Besides - it would be interesting to see the odds calculated for 2 people, putting so much time and energy into an obviously mutual interest - resisting the temptation to use trickery or subterfuge in achieving their common aim.
Sir Francis tried the same trick before in August - pretending to be a business associate who I had written to about my suspicions.
Again - the IP address proved the lie.
A user name is easily changed.
We cannot take you seriously Noemi - give up - your hypocrisy betrays the very image you are trying to empower - they would do better without you.

Lie No 4
"The accused bloggers soon asked me if we could get Mayen’s story. Don’t ask me how we got her contact number. Call it divine intervention."

The truth is that Mayen has been on the scene all the time - despite alleging that Sir Francis had "given her the sack" after she "left the hospital" - she never went to the province - she has been in the wings, making appearances - yes - the last time was Valentine's day - perfectly coordinated with all the activity that has been happening online.
Playing the emotional card - the only trick they know - in a vain attempt to get Tierra Maria Estates out of the mess it is in.

Lie No 5
"Why are Tim’s conclusion based on a pixelated and blurry video from a webcam? Jepoy hits the nail on video quality.
How could you base your conclusions on a very blurry video of a webcam streamed from Yahoo! Messenger? The video probably was even recorded via manual screen captures or by a screen capturing program. Which means that every single pixel you record is based on the image displayed by the receiver’s video card.
Now, how the hell does a “very sophisticated” computer equipment analyze a video from this procedure? TELL ME. PLEASE. HOW? Spectral analysis on a blurry screen grab. WHAT THE F%$&?! -_-"

Then the video commentary continues by suggesting that because I commented to Jepoy that "We didn't need sophisticated equipment - just a pair of eyes . . ." I was proving myself a liar. You see - they are clutching at straws - trying to blind with geekish gobbledygook.
I didn't say that we didn't have or didn't use sophisticated equipment - my sarcasm was obviously lost on Jepoy - but what I meant was, that it was obvious - even to the naked eye - that it was a fake scar.
Apart from the clearly visible smudging of the ink, research has shown that the appearance of the scar bears no resemblance to even a two day old scar - let alone almost a seven week old scar.
Neither Jepoy nor Noemi have seen the whole of the video - so are completely unqualified to comment on its content.

Lie No 6
"The question might pop up “Why did I go out of my way to do this interview? I am just a blogger”. I should mind my own business, right?"

Just what is your business? Real estate? Touting cheap web-hosting? Idle gossip? Chit-chat? So full of condescending self-importance. Deluded that you are famous because you are on the Internet. Defender of the Image of the Philippines. Defender of the Big Business.
Just a blogger - tsk, tsk.

Lie No 7
I have not accused your daughter Lauren of anything at all, merely stated the facts, that she removed my totally appropriate comment from her website.

Lie No 8
One of the subtitles tries to convey the idea that the hospital considered sending me the bill "too personal a matter." This is a feeble attempt at explaining the delay in being contacted by the hospital. The "Doctor" on the very first day gave me a thorough briefing over the telephone about Mayen's "condition" - the nurse I spoke to at the hospital managed to get confidential information from the accounts office and passed it on to me - the hospital itself did eventually send me a photo-copy of "a bill." Where's the consistency? Nowhere - it's just an idea that is applied when it suits the purpose.
Besides all that, hospital confidentiality is only in place to protect the patient's interests - the patient always retains the authority, at any time, to instruct the hospital to contact whoever they choose.

But again - even this excuse was never mentioned at the time - only as an afterthought - all the intensity of effort was purely in getting the money from me - by any means possible.

The "Bill" implies that Mayen was discharged on Monday 13th August - considering the absolute urgency of "saving the relationship" - getting proof to me, speedily - considering that Sir Francis already had in his possession the "Bill" that they had "difficulty in scanning" - why did he not send a copy from another scanner, later that evening, or even the next day - there would have been time before my flight - was he feeling any responsibility for protecting the integrity of Mayen's relationship with me?
Considering that everyone was just waiting for me to pay the "Bill" - why did the hospital not respond to me?
Why did Mayen's colleagues and family not insist that the hospital respond?
Even when I didn't show up in Manila - they knew then for certain of my suspicions, still no attempt was made to transmit the "bill" (that they had already admitted was in their possession) to me.
I suggest that this is because things had changed - from a simple scam attempt - me sending or bringing the cash - now it was getting more complicated - instead of just the anonymity of telephone calls - I was expecting to see some real documentation, from the hospital, from the doctors - which would have meant incriminating themselves, on paper - and it was hoped I would just disappear - but instead I started insisting and spreading word about - for the first time, I was perceived as a potential threat.

Obviously some negotiations had to take place to procure the "photo-copy of the Bill" which was eventually sent to me on the 21st August.
Why was it still sent to me at all, when Mayen had already "negotiated with her family" about payment, about a week before? Only to try to prove that the events were genuine.

This was not about a relationship, love, ensuring that no suspicion would be allowed to spoil a romance - this was all about an attempt to extort money.

Lie No 9
The hospital did not answer my emails at all - their first correspondence to me was the photo-copy of a bill on 21st August - 11 days later - only after I had badgered Sir Francis to get me information about the doctors - and he knew I was starting to spread my suspicions around in emails.

Lie No 10
If Sir Francis had all the hospital receipts - why the hell did he not send copies to me at the time? Oh yes - he may well produce something now - this is the first time this has ever been mentioned.

Lie No 11
"Her only lie was that she was going home to the province and visit her mom."

Ok - she lied about being in the province straight after being "released" from hospital.
She lied when she denied having Herpes.
She lied about her father returning to Manila with her.
She lied about the SIM card in her phone.
She lied about not being in contact with Sir Francis.
These are only the lies that we have proved - how many others have there been?
It makes it really hard to believe anything.

Another quote from Noemi's text:
Looking back, she reflects on Tim’s drastic changes. According to her, he is not the same person she knew in Manila. He was so nice and romantic to her. He was nice to her family and felt he accepted her family. She doesn’t know what she did wrong to deserve the distrust. “When he was here, I took care of him. I never stole money from him”.

No Mayen - you never had to steal from me - it was always there for the giving. That is how it is presented all along - I am expected to believe the myth of helpless poverty - money is squeezed out by suggestion - the merest, subtlest hints - very clever. You can always deny that there were any direct requests later.
This does not ever happen as early as this in normal relationships.
It was all about money, money, money.

To continue - a quote from Mayen:
The worst thing…are the bills, my family getting affected with the bills, my friends were affected, Francis, Tierra Maria (I love them). “I didn’t want them to happen. Painful. It was not my fault.”
“One question remains…what did I really do that this had to grow big? He never sent me anything …any single cent for me (for the hospital) Instead of helping me, believing me, saying he loved me, marry me, promised me this and that but none of that materialized…instead he humiliated me, criticized me…because I am poor. He knows I am poor.”

Again - expecting me to support the myth - poor, helpless Mayen - who was taken advantage of - yes? Is that the image you're trying to paint? Mayen had absolutely no responsibility in this herself? Mayen who has more "street wisdom" & savvy than any other girl I know - should have insisted on protected sex, for a start - but despite the risk of me catching the STD from her, kept quiet for the sake of the scam.
Your friends were affected because they were all in on it - silently or actively taking part. Tierra Maria Estates were affected because Sir Francis corroborated the lies & they have a presence online which I could use - I had a lever - my blogs - to attempt to get to the truth - to prevent you all sliding away into the shadows.
For goodness sake - this is not an issue about money at all - it's all about trust - finding out about the girl I was planning and hoping to marry.
Yes Mayen - I can tell you why it grew so big - months and months of ruthless deceit - your despicable attempt at emotional extortion was a total abuse of trust - it was a concerted effort - not just by you, but in league with others. An emotionally torturous rollercoaster - that normally is unreported. I was determined that I would expose this to try and warn others - in a very detailed way - precisely how evil it is.

The first attempts at the scam were a shambles - incompetent - either way.
The only convincing part should have been my emotional involvement - my blind love and trust - they were relying on that to do the work.
When that failed - and I became suspicious - all subsequent attempts at providing proof also
failed - because of the inappropriate way it was all handled.

"Mayen continued on to say that if she wanted to scam him, she would have done it while he was in the Philippines."

How? By inflated hotel prices, taxi fares?
Can you prove that you didn't?
But had I discovered it at the time - the prospect of a bigger scam would have been trashed.

"Then Mayen tells me…” To tell you the truth, I really loved Tim. I am honest. My intention was pure. I was comfortable with him. I wanted to take care of him at his age now. For me, it doesn’t matter how old he is. What I feel for him , I loved him….it won’t go away but I need to move on.
It is painful. But I have to. It has a great lesson for me. What is love without trust? ”

The answer to that last question is "Useless as a manipulative tool."

This all just goes to show how carefully rehearsed and scripted this whole interview was. Saying exactly the right things - putting just the desired spin on everything - after all - the stage is yours Noemi - you have the technology, the blogging know-how to transmit your lies to the world.
Did Mayen show you the scar by the way?
Did she show you any of the bills from the hospital?
Did she show you any paperwork for the sale of the family property?
A receipt?
A medical certificate?
Any proof at all?
You'd better get to work then - forging, faking and falsifying.
Your audience awaits.

"Mayen then showed photos from her cellphone camera. Her friends took these photos during her hospitalization. I used my camera to take those photos because the infrared connection from her cellphone refused to work."

Mayen tried to show me these photographs for the first time on January 12th 2008 - unsuccesfully during a webcam chat. No attempt had ever been made previously - why not? Come on - such an obvious thing to do - if these have been around since August - and yet never even mentioned before.
She told me that her sister had taken them in the hospital.
Strange to take a photograph of the bandage - unless it was to try to prove something - in which case - why didn't they show me at the time?
Obviously, the digital embedded information in the photographs might make it awkward to transmit them digitally - revealing the date when they were taken. But I expect this information can probably be manipulated, eventually - by someone like Jepoy, for instance, so that the date reads August 2007.
I can't explain Noemi's tag on the bottom photograph that says 2007 - is she already trying to pull the wool?
Well we know the answer to that.
Is this circus of fiction being put on just for my benefit? How many people are actually interested?

“I had an ectopic pregnancy and I can prove it. The scar is true. The scar is with me , forever. …Painful. Whenever I take a bath, I see the scar. I can prove it to anybody, everyone and also to Tim. If only he went to the Philippines, there wouldn’t have been a problem.”

Except that I would have met a bunch of thugs - trying to "convince" me that it was all true.
Noemi didn't ask her to reveal the scar again - but what would that have proved - it would have been set up in advance.
I expect photographs will soon appear though - expertly made up - looking exactly right - but they had better match what I have already been shown.

What is perfectly clear - is that the amount of effort being put into clearing Tierra Maria Estates name (not Mayen - she is just a pawn) - clearly demonstrates how much potential damage my writings are doing to the Big Business.

So - the picking and pecking continues - at the eye sockets of all the detail in my blog - like a flock of hungry, corrupt vultures.
They will eventually clean it to the bone and the sands of time will slowly drift over the corpse - and conceal it.

I have done all I can. I am in danger of being sucked back into a very volatile situation - because of my latent emotions.
Dangerous - because these people are dangerous, corrupt, bullying thugs - doing their best to re-establish themselves in their anonymous lairs, pirating the Internet from secret coves - from behind the colourful myth - the picture of sun, sea, coconuts and beautiful maidens - which they themselves defend and promote - to lure the unwary traveller on to their shores.

They will not stop - this is their livelyhood.
I am a persona-non-grata on the Internet - especially in the Philippines.
It seems that although another own-goal has been scored by the scammers, with these public lies - it is true - a door has slammed shut.
Because of a dawning realisation.
I can do no more - it is futile to seek support - the only people remotely interested - apart from myself - are those with a vested interest in seeing me disappear - who number quite a few.

So - my blogs will remain - and I know I've said this before but - goodbye.

To Mayen - my last word - I would have forgiven you and loved you forever - but we have no level ground that we are standing on - speaking the truth.
That is now impossible - I cannot trust you, your associates or the Philippines.

Now, I haven't become a member, so I have no idea what lurks beneath the index of forums - but a quick read of what I can see there is enough to tell me that it appears to be almost entirely related to sex & prostitution.
I have read enough on the Internet to realise that this is BIG BUSINESS.
Sites like this - confirm that opinion . . .

Of course, prostitution is despised as a label - preferred is the euphemistic phrase "entertaining a foreigner."

In order to avoid portraying itself as having any bias or particular attraction, it should not advertise itself as being "Asian" or "Filipina."
Truly, a Filipina is a mixture of many wonderful character traits, including - strong, intelligent and ambitious - the spectrum is as broad as it is long - surely it would be folly to generalise in any way - but dating sites will only contain a more representative selection of people when the sites themselves stop being nationality specific.
Any form of "branding" will increase the risk of attracting specific types of people - of either sex - it's easier to change a brand name than it is to change a deeply engrained myth.
There again - while these risks do still exist, perhaps it is safer to contain the "risk" within certain known, "branded" sites.

Unfortunately, because of the myth perpetuated about the Philippines the world has got the image completely wrong, for the most part - and is ignorant of what can lie just beneath the surface.
Many Filipinas and many of these dating sites purposely hide behind the mask of the myth - that they themselves promote - because it suits their aim. There are sites and tour operators who promote the Filipina as a commodity, emphasising only those characteristics that increase the lure. There are some Filipinas who are just out to scam people - to "better" themselves, or their families, financially.
Of course there are the innocent who fall prey to the unscrupulous - and this occurs both ways between the sexes.
A lot of these sites, inevitably, pander to the lowest common denominator and do attract a disgusting type of man - which creates, in turn, a feedback of contempt - which is self-perpetuating.
One cannot only stand on the side of the "Innocent" Filipina - ignoring the fact that many a western man has been pricked by a poisonous needle while fumbling amongst the hay.
There are all sorts of gold-diggers - some relatively harmless - some who simply and honestly want to better themselves.
But there are those who use deceit and manipulation as well.
Not all have the luxury to afford a conscience in this matter - there are many who see the Internet as a quick fix to financial deprivation - ignoring the morality - ignoring the deprivation of their soul.
There is nothing at all amiss about charity - it is the deception that often accompanies the requests for money that puts them in a different & unacceptable league.
Any form of regulation on dating sites can realistically only happen "post-trauma" - by whistle blowing and banning - but perception - the word on the street - is a far more powerful deterrent than the promise of merely piecemeal, punitive measures - and will keep genuine people away - thereby intensifying the ratio of undesirables who will remain.
This perception will only change when shameful activities by both western men and Filipinas are minimised.
They bring the shame upon themselves.
A paradoxical situation that cannot be resolved while there is money to be made from Filipinas - and while they continue to be selectively and aggresively marketed as a commodity.

The Philippines, both fiscally and socially, seems prepared to turn a blind eye - as it brings money on to the streets, into the shops.
There seems to be a defensive, protective attitude - which goes beyond simply a national pride - it's almost as if the reputation of a business is at stake.
Just how many people have got their fingers in this pot?
The variety of ways that Filipinas can be "marketed" - is endless - they seem to be regarded - and there are some who seem to imagine themselves - as a natural resource.
After all, beautiful women - are never going to go out of fashion as an attraction, a lure - there's a good, constant supply - and it's easier work than selling coconuts or mangos.
So the myth is protected - the shopfront is kept nice and clean - as it were. That shopfront is right here on the Internet, where it appears to be on an industrial scale.
While there is money to be earned, individually or corporately, I fear that any attempts to adjust the situation will be purely cosmetic.

Ultimately, as usual, it is the government who hold all the cards in this and many other matters. Until it sorts itself out, cleans itself up and truly becomes a democratic government with the people's interests at heart - with true freedom of the press - a judicial system that is untainted by partiality & corruption - nothing will happen.
The poverty will remain - criminal and dubious activities will continue to be encouraged in its shadow.
The enormity of the above challenge is the most serious and daunting concern for the majority of the population - most especially the impoverished.
But there are too many people, all the way up the ladder, who are self-satisfied and content with the staus quo - "I'm alright Jack" - for anything to ever happen.

The Internet is the shop window - efforts have to be made to keep the image sparklingly clear. The Philippines is by no means challenged or deficient when it comes to the Internet - a fact that Jepoy himself boasts about - on his own website HERE.

Apparently - people with his talents are highly sought after when it comes to cleaning the shop window - when the BUSINESS MODEL is threatened.

I'm certain that a large amount of profit from this sort of business activity goes straight into the pockets of those personalities who defend the image of the Innocent Filipina - in such a biased way. Such is their duality - their corrupt hypocrisy.
It is no surprise at all that the Real Estates Business wants a slice of these profits - after all - westerners cannot own land - and are unable to buy anything other than a condominium without the name of a Filipina wife - so teaming up with dating sites is an obvious answer.

So it appears to be one giant web of deceit - real estate firms, dating sites, nightclubs, bloggers, tour operators, forums, HTML gurus - all after western money - supporting and promoting the myth - painting a nice, glossy, innocent picture - what chance has a man of finding a genuine, honest relationship amongst all that lot?
It appears that this is the web that I got tangled up in.
Great caution is needed.

But of course - everyone there is in denial - or living in fear.
